I gave my AI agent way too much access. I woke up this notification. $23,000 gone.
Never again.

The fastest way to make marketing feel natural?
Stop sounding like a company.
Talk like someone who actually understands what your customer is struggling with.
That changes everything.

Every VC has a thesis.
@MikeTaylor built @WTGVentures without one, deliberately.
His view: once a thesis becomes too rigid, it stops helping you read the market and starts reinforcing what you already believe.
So what does he back?
Founders who know their domain, have done it before, and can get a product in front of users.
Because code is no longer the moat.
Claude Code, Codex and AI tooling have made building dramatically easier.
Distribution is the moat.
Mike thinks Web3 learned this the hard way: hundreds of chains built beautiful infrastructure, then went looking for users.

[EP #59] He Sold You the Plumbing. Nobody Moved In
feat. @taylormikerob (@wtgventures) hosted by @RealMissAI
Web3 built infra nobody asked for. AI killed tech as a moat. Distribution is the edge.
Skip the L2. Find users. Token later.
Successful people aren't necessarily playing a different game.
They've just spent more time understanding the one everyone else complains about.
They study the rules.
Find the loopholes.
Build leverage.
Adapt.
You can't control the game.
But you can get better at playing it.
Such a good conversation with @GSchvey from @yumagroup on @dealflowpodcast 🎙️
Greg left Citibank for Bitcoin back in 2012, built and sold two companies in crypto, and is now going deep on @BitTensorAI and decentralized AI.
We got into some pretty wild examples of what is already happening, including someone from the energy industry beating the pharmaceutical gold standard for drug discovery on a Bittensor subnet, and a 100B parameter model being trained over the public internet.
What I liked about Greg's perspective is that he has seen this kind of shift before. He made the early bet on Bitcoin, and now he sees a lot of the same ingredients starting to come together around AI.
Thanks @GSchvey. I learnt so much in this chat!

Stoked to host @iwillpat from @HashgraphVC on @dealflowpodcast.
Will put his entire first banking bonus into Bitcoin at the all-time high, then went on to build a career across banking, crypto, venture, and now a $100M fund.
We got into why most L1 tokens failed, why infrastructure has become commoditized, where the value is actually moving, and why he thinks stablecoins are one of the biggest opportunities in crypto right now.
The point that stuck with me: in early-stage investing, the question is simple. What is your unfair advantage?
Thank you Will for such an epic convo and for sharing what you have learned from years in the market.

Huge shoutout to @sjdedic from @MoonrockCapital for coming on the @dealflowpodcast.
Simon quit his cancer research PhD at Oxford to go all in on crypto. Two weeks later, COVID hit. His portfolio dropped 90%.
And he kept going.
Six years and 76 investments later, he has a very different perspective on what actually matters in this industry: attention, founder-market fit, long-term thinking, and backing people who genuinely understand the problem they are solving.
One of my favourite conversations yet.
Thank you Simon for coming on and sharing the real story behind Moonrock Capital.

You’re asking AI the wrong question.
Don’t ask it “can you build this”. It can. The answer is yes.
Ask it “can you build it in a way that I actually understand what is going on?”
One of these gets you a system. The other leads to become a prompt monkey.
