The Time magazine article raised the specter of Donald Trumps competency. Over the weekend Trump was out on the campaign trail.
On Saturday he held a rally at Butler High School in Valdalia, Ohio. Unlike rallies of the past the location was not full. There was no clamoring crowd waiting to take the stage.
When Trump took the stage you could see everything that the Time article had discussed. He was a man who could not find his words. Out of frustration he resorted towards litany of nasty attacks on Democrats and none Trump supporters. He told the audience he had a final solution for the Democrats who he accused of trying to kill him and impeach him. He promised he would take care of them and that they wouldn't be a problem when he finished. In a word he was totally unhinged.
When you read the time article and then witness his Butler High School tirade it's jarring to think that the fate of our nation rest in this man's hands.
Congress is derelect in it's duty in not behaving like a co equal branch. Trump and the members of his administration that refuse to acknowledge his cognitive decline must be removed for the welfare of the nation. Only crazy people would allow a crazy person to remain in office.

-> Announced a barbaric livestreamed execution.
-> Sanctioned the International Criminal Court.
-> Made a deal to help finance Russia's war machine.
-> Pressured multiple countries to withdraw their sponsorship of a leading European conference on disinformation.
And we all just carry on as normal this weekend? Like the arrival of a new fascist dictatorship isn't upon us?
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Why are there no world leaders prepared to even talk about this, let alone take a stand?
I feel like I'm screaming into the void but surely someone, somewhere outside the US is thinking similarly.

The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty
