I couldn't have said it better than you myself. Because that's what the word "woke" really means nowadays. The word USED to mean being aware of racial and social injustice and it used to come from some song from the 60's about being "woke". Can't remember who sung that, but based upon that criteria, I'm "woke".
But I'm really not because, nowadays, since 10 years ago, the word has changed to a different meaning to what you've just described. Where you say or do something either otherwise or that will definitely upset and offend people, GOTCHA! You're immediately cancelled, shamed and abused. Everyone who shamed, abused and cancelled you get extremely joyful and celebrative that your life, job, career and reputation got destroyed over something on social media that is either mispoken, misinterpretted, an utter bluff, a difference of opinion or simply taken out of context.
It's total madness and it's been like that for 10 years now, resulting in the world becoming a VERY small place to live. I hope you 100% agree with me on my view on this woke, cancel culture mob and fully side with me on my mission to cancel the cancel-culture with the power of my words and my fully-uncensored podcast show I currently run.

🚨 NEW: Ofcom says all adults should have to use their ID to access social media.
• Ofcom has recommended four methods for verifying users’ ages ahead of the UK’s ban on social media for under-16s, which is due to come into force in March next year.
• The four methods suggested, subject to government approval, are photo ID matching, banking-based checks, live facial age estimation and digital ID.
• The regulator noted that verifying the ages of 16 and 17-year-olds is challenging because many do not have credit cards, full driving licences or passports.

You know what I want from @YouTube that's way worser than removing custom thumbnails and the dislike button entirely?
A plugin ability to fully turn off the comment section in the Options menu for every @YouTube video you watch as a way of preventing getting into arguments/conversations you really have no intentions of getting involved in.
And social media as a whole should follow suit on that concept if that eventually comes to fruition.
