Realized yesterday that since God is pure actuality without Lack, people simply interpret whatever aspects of God they want depending on their own perspective. Mfw the Reddit atheist “you have an imaginary friend” larp is le real.
And this isn’t to say that that’s inherently bad, I mean for me it has been fairly grueling to realize that all people are doomed to create their own meaning. God just makes it easy to do because your meaning is pre-made, and based on well-tested experience.

Some people are saying I “never had faith” which is insulting. I would often go to mass every day during some periods, pray the divine office everyday, go to adoration, etc. I genuinely believed the religion and now I just cannot bring myself to believe it is true anymore.
I’m convinced that if you teleported the modern day Catholic Church back in time to the reign of Pius X almost every single person would be excommunicated by Lamentabili Sane and Praetestantia Scripturae in some way
