🚨 Jürgen Klopp on Andoni Iraola’s remarkable start at Liverpool: 🎙️ Interviewer: “Andoni Iraola arrived at Liverpool when the club was struggling. Many questioned whether he was the right man, especially because he had no major trophies or European competition experience. What do you make of what he’s doing? Jürgen Klopp: “I understand those doubts, but football doesn’t work like that. You cannot judge a manager only by the trophies in his cabinet or the competitions he has managed in. Sometimes you have to look at his ideas, his character and what he can build. Andoni inherited a difficult situation, but look at how he has responded. He has brought energy, belief and a clear identity. That deserves respect.” Interviewer: “Does his journey remind you of your own arrival at Anfield? Jürgen Klopp: “Absolutely. When I arrived, Liverpool were not where the supporters wanted them to be. There were questions, pressure and expectations. I had to earn trust, just as Andoni is doing now. You cannot walk into this club and demand that everybody believes in you immediately. You have to give them reasons. Andoni is giving them those reasons with his football.” Interviewer: “Do you believe he can achieve great things at Liverpool? Jürgen Klopp: “Why not? He should not be judged by what he has not won yet. Judge him by what he is building. He has already shown that he can handle the pressure of this club, and I believe there is much more to come. But Liverpool is not a club where one good run is enough. The challenge is to keep improving, keep winning and make the supporters proud. If he continues with this conviction, he can achieve something special here.” Interviewer: “What would you say to the people who still doubt his appointment? Jürgen Klopp: “Keep watching. Don’t decide a manager’s story before he has had the chance to write it. I know what it means to be given time, trust and responsibility at Liverpool. Andoni must write his own story, but I hope the supporters give him the same belief they gave me.”
