He almost didn't make it to the big leagues. Learn how @RedAlertCrew took ownership of his career on @KWBRadio #podcast #SpringTraining

Let’s learn from golfers-their salary is TBD each week based on results. They choose a game day coach(caddy) who focuses on strategy/mental skills. They DON’T use their swing coach to caddy. Train mechanics-Compete with strategy and mindset. In ⚾️, your inner voice is your caddy.

Young players: get around successful people in baseball to learn from them. Find a way to chat w/someone who has accomplished something you want to accomplish. Hanging around guys who complain about their genes & have never thrown >75mph? Expect to be a guy who throws 75mph, too.

Kids, the vast majority of successful ML hitters never posted gaudy strike out numbers on their way to the big leagues. They worked hard to have consistent, quality at bats in the minors, in order to move up the ladder and eventually get the call to the SHOW!

Joe Maddon impressed by Trevor Story’s adjustment since June when “he got away from all that launch angle stuff” should be a message to all the hitters in the world, get in the box, compete and hit the ball as hard as u can, live w result, hits come w solid contact! #barrelemup – at Winter Garden, FL

am I wrong to be frustrated when "coaches" within the industry that don't work in a team setting (and never have), pass judgment on coaching methods that they deem "wrong", without knowing the "why" behind it? close your mouth or close your private gym & take a shot at the grind

What a great day. To the surprise of no one who's ever covered Trevor Hoffman, he started with a tribute to Jerry Coleman, thanked his teammates, owners, & the guys in the clubhouse. The best.

Tweeting offers is big time eyewash 💦👀 Only get to sign to one school..so all those other offers you didn’t take end up meaning absolutely nothing anyways. Save it

2 take aways from NCAA coaches' panel
1) a kid's social media is basically a look at a kid's character & maturity
2) best measurement of commitment & accountability is an athlete's HS attendance. "If you cant show up to hs, why would anyone think you would show up to college."

Apathy used to be the biggest threat to the strength & conditioning field. Those who don’t care enough to get educated are dangerous. However, I now realize that it’s worse to have someone who's motivated, but unaware of just how unqualified they are. Passion + idiocy = bad news.

Bunch of immature high school kids arguing about guys who could care less about their swings. Good part is you are all correct in some capacity. Bad part is loudest irrational voices are usually those WHO NEVER PLAYED

HITTERS: Miggy showing you that hitting is simple. It's just not that easy. Oh, and he's asking you what launch angle is...

Power is plane-specific. Don't expect just lifting weights, sprinting, and jumping to magically carry over to rotational power. Medicine ball work is an awesome add-on to round out a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for rotational sport athletes. đź’Ş#cspfamily

I am so proud of how the RHS Baseball fought yesterday. Down by 6 twice. Down to our last strike and they never gave up. Walk-off stolen base!! Crazy game!! #GoCanes #TrustTheProcess
