Between now and 2033 (end of Bogey's contract), the Red Sox will win more WS Championships than the Padres. Between now and 2044 (last Betts contract pymt), the Red Sox will win more WS Championships than the Dodgers AND Padres. (pin) Hope Twitter is still around to confirm.

In the Red Sox latest attempt to open up 40-man spots, Tsung-Che Cheng has been dealt to the Tigers for cash, per @ByAndrewParker. Extremely dependable glove. Ended up exceeding my expectations quite a bit in 2026. Another guy that’s outta options and a victim of the Red Sox having a bunch of utility types.

Jareth Rayo is the return for Nate Eaton, per @FrancysRomero. Entering his age 19 season. 6-3, 195. Tossed 46 innings in the DSL in 2026. 5.50 ERA. 9.0 K/9 and 5.0 BB/9. Should be a few more of these trades coming…

Willson Contreras spoke with @BGlobeSports yesterday and made it clear he’s on the same page as the Red Sox: “After you lose in the playoffs and get kicked out, you get frustrated… But it was nothing to take personal. I think we had a great meeting. It’s going to be good for next year. We’re on the same page, which is the most important thing… I feel good about things, for sure. One-hundred percent… Things are in a good place.”

Alex Cora opened up about his firing and explained that what really upset him was other people paid the price. Both coaches and players. For a small sample size. Cora tipped his cap to Breslow for having conviction. Noted Breslow’s “doubts” about the program. 🎥: @BBisntBoring

Is competitive balance really breaking baseball? What if that answer is … maybe not? It's time once again to debunk these MLB parity myths.

Big-market payrolls were the threat. Playoff seeding was under fire. Yet every higher seed advanced except the wild-card White Sox. Now both No. 1 seeds meet in the World Series—and both rank in MLB’s bottom half in payroll. So much for the narrative. That's Baseball!

Second consecutive year someone from Boston baseball ops is poached for one of 30 CBO openings. Yet I continue to hear that the Sox front office is subpar. Something doesn't add up. Hmm ...

The A's have hired Red Sox Assistant GM Taylor Smith to be their President of Baseball Operations, per @KleinschmidtJD. Smith departs after 2 seasons with the Red Sox organization. Key analytical voice in the front office. The A’s had also interviewed Michael Groopman.

We used to praise players for playing injured. Are we really going to blame medical staffs for allowing it? Whitlock wanted to pitch. He did and did well the last month. He knew something was going on but didn't want them to shut him down, so he managed it. Please look at every case individually.
