He is obviously correct, and it makes me wonder, is he looking to take the Bill Clinton route to the Presidency in 2028? Run to the right of the crazies, win a crowded Primary, then win the General?

I have never seen a cat that talks like a human baby before. Has anyone ever heard anything like this before? Is this a normal thing for a cat, or some kind of mad science experiment thing? Listen to the whole thing, it talks louder toward the end.

I've been playing Gothic 1 Remake for quite a while now, and I have some tips that I think will help, things I wish I'd known sooner. First, as early in the game as reasonably possible, complete the quest that gives you the Firebolt Rune, and buy a Magic Ring that gives you 15 additional MP. Of course there are other ways to gain MP, such as finding items that increase it, but this is a massive, massive early game boost. Your MP goes from 5 to 20 just by wearing that one ring. If you can get two, even better, but I know Cronos in the New Camp sells one in Chapter One, I don't know if anybody else does. This way, you can use that rune instead of your arrows, which cost Ore. Very helpful! Another tip is that when you're in the New Camp, many (but not all) of the Novices will take you where you want to go if you speak to them. They won't take you everywhere, but they'll take you to a lot of different places, extremely helpful as that place is an extremely confusing and frustrating maze, it's the one area of the game that really was designed quite poorly, no area should be that confusing and frustrating just to walk around in. But mercifully, speaking to Novices can greatly mitigate that, please remember that you can do that, it'll save you tremendous frustration. Follow those tips and you'll have even more fun in this game, which is quite possibly the Game of the Year!

I've been really enjoying the Gothic 1 Remake, but boy oh boy is the combat difficult. Very frustrating at times, as I had heard it would be for early game players. Reminds me very much of Elex, which interestingly enough is like a modern day Gothic game itself. But I have a tip, you may have already seen it, but this is a super duper useful tip. When you reach the Castle area, find the people who will escort you to the other two camps. Each time you go to one of the other camps with an escort, the escort guy does all the fighting, and you get all the XP (as well as the loot), and it's completely free! It's a super easy way to level up early, and you'll need all the help you can get, because again, that early game combat is super difficult!

I'd like to offer my First Thoughts on the new Gothic 1 Remake game. I've only played a little ways so far, but so far the Nostalgia is off the charts! The game is absolutely incredible, the graphics, the sound, the music, just phenomenal. I haven't gotten into any real combat yet (I've beaten a couple meatbugs, opponents that don't fight back), I've heard it's really hard early then gets easier later. But so far, everything is just so amazing! Hopefully it keeps being awesome!

What a crazy week it's been. UNC fires their incredibly successful Coach, he was setting record after record, 20+ wins each of his first 5 years for the first time ever, 18-0 at home for the first time ever, beating Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky for the first time since Dean Smith himself did it over 40 years ago, all despite suffering injuries to his 3 best players, including multiple injuries to his best player, arguably the best player in the Country. And NC State had it's Coach up and leave for no apparent reason after just one season. Now, these two events could merge into one, if Hubert Davis was willing to take the NC State Job. I understand there's a rivalry there, that Hubert may not want to Coach for a team the Tarheels are rivals with, but what I hope Hubert will understand is, while of course it's highly immoral to cheat on your wife with her sister, if your wife cheats on you and divorces you to go be with the mailman, you're completely free to go be with her sister, there's nothing wrong with it at all. Whoever is in charge of UNC did Hubert Davis incredibly dirty, and Hubert owes them no loyalty whatsoever, he should take that job, it's a good solid job, he won't have to move from wherever he and his family lives, you really couldn't pick a better job from that standpoint. I understand if he'd rather go to a bigger school like Kansas, but that'd mean moving halfway across the Country, this opportunity would be better, plus he could get revenge on the folks who fired him on a yearly basis, while also continuing to beat Duke every year, and both those things will be extremely satisfying no doubt. So I call on the NC State people to offer Hubert this job, it'll be a huge upgrade from the guy who just left, and I call on Hubert to seriously consider accepting it. This will be a great move for both NC State and Hubert, NC State gets much better, Hubert gets to stay at home and keep competing for ACC and National Championships every year, everybody wins and wins big!

It's been a couple days now since the debacle against VCU. We all know what happened, it was perhaps the most painful loss I've ever seen, it was unacceptable, and steps must be taken so that nothing like that ever happens again. However, those steps must be taken intelligently, not emotionally, in order for them to be effective and correct. What was the problem? The problem was that Coach Davis didn't rest his starters in the 2nd half, they ran out of gas and gave away the biggest lead in NCAA Tournament First Round History. He did rest them effectively in the first half, so why he didn't do it in the 2nd half also remains a mystery. He should explain himself, it's a really big deal. But the fact is that while his one bad decision cost us the lead, it was all his other great decisions that got us that lead, it's not like he isn't an incredibly talented Coach, he's proven that he is. He needs a powerful Assistant Coach beside him, someone like Tyler Hansborough, who can help make sure he gets things like the substitutions, and the timeouts, correct. Coach Davis doesn't need much help, but like all of us he does need some, and the guys who are supposed to be helping him clearly aren't getting it done, so it's time to bring in some folks, like Tyler, who can. Another thing that's very important is we need to spend a lot more money on Free Agents, and make much better selections with our choices. We did a great job getting Henri, but he was the only Home Run. Everyone else was mediocre or worse. We can, and must, do much better when the Portal opens up in about 3 weeks time. That includes making sure the guys we bring in can actually shoot Free Throws. Hubert Davis has made a lot of History. He's the first Coach in Carolina history to ever go 18-0 at home, the first ever to get 20 wins in each of his first 5 seasons, he beat Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky all in the same regular season for the first time in over 40 years. The man is a legend, he is without question one of the best, I would say the very best, Coach in all of College Basketball. And he's only getting better. To lose him now would be an absolute tragedy for our Team, for our University, and really for all of College Basketball. I understand the emotional response, in the moment, of wanting to get rid of the guy who blew the big lead and caused us all a great deal of emotional pain and suffering. But getting rid of him won't make the pain go away, only time can do that. Keeping him and getting him better players and a better Assistant Coach, so that nothing like this ever happens again, that is the correct way to move forward in a way that ensures we have a lot more fun and victory celebrations next season, and for many seasons to come. I hope the folks in charge of this decision will choose wisely!

Last night's loss was incredibly painful, losing a game you should have won by about 30 points in epic meltdown fashion. Coach Davis inexplicably refused to give his Superstars any rest in the 2nd half, and they melted down into a total collapse. But I believe I may now understand the reason why. I was thinking back to the only other game this year that was at all comparable to this one, our win against Syracuse. It was the game before we beat Duke. With about 10 minutes to go we were up 32 points, the game was completely over, or at least it should have been, so Hubert smartly took out his Superstars to give them extra rest for Duke. What happened next was, at the time, the worst collapse we'd ever seen, probably in UNC History, as that 32 point lead quickly became 6 points. Hubert eventually put his Starters back in and we ultimately won by about 10, so it's not something a lot of people will remember, but it was a horrible thing to watch. We watched the same thing last night, but for the exact opposite reason. This time, perhaps Hubert, in his attempt to avoid blowing another win, decided the correct thing to do was to never, ever take his stars out of the game until it was super-duper over. This, unfortunately, was completely wrong, as an exhausted Superstar is not a good Superstar. In the First Half, Hubert rested them properly, if he'd rested them properly in the second half we'd have won by 20-30 points, but he didn't and we lost. This may be the reason why. If it is, it's entirely understandable. Still a terrible blunder, but at least I can understand why he made the mistake he did. Hopefully going forward he will resolve to always give his starters some measure of rest in the second half of games. I remember Phil Jackson used to always rest MJ, by far the best player he had, the same way in the 2nd half. I don't remember if he did it the same way in the 1st half too but in the 2nd half every game he'd sit Jordan with a couple minutes or so left in the 3rd quarter, and he'd keep him benched at the start of the 4th quarter. Then it would depend on how the game was going and how much rest he felt MJ needed, exactly when he brought him back in. It might be 8 or 9 minutes left when he brought him back in, and then he was fresh and ready to dominate the rest of the game. That's the correct way to rest your Superstars, hopefully Hubert will follow that formula from now on, we need much better results going forward, and the only way to get them is with Superstars who are fresh and ready throughout the second half, not just the first.

It's important to keep in mind, when considering exactly how bad a loss last night's game was for UNC, that not only did we lose to a team we just beat a week ago, but we lost despite the fact that Clemson was on a Back to Back, and they had lost their 2nd best player during the front end of that Back to Back, to an injury, so they weren't just worn down, they were a man down, we should have won by double digits with no difficulty whatsoever, and instead we somehow lost to them. That was unacceptable, inexcusable, and we deserve answers both on how this happened, and on how we're making sure it never happens again.

Horrible news about Caleb Wilson, but one thing important to remember is, he was already back practicing and expected to play against Duke, just a few weeks after breaking his other thumb. With a very similar timeline, he could definitely be healed up in time for the Final 4, his season is definitely not over yet! Ironically, he could still be making his return against Duke, just a few weeks later than expected!

Remember tonight, and remember from now on, anyone who gratuitously attacks our Superstar Coach, there can only be one reason, and we all know what that reason is. Tarheels win baby!
