What a lot of people are failing to realise is, this is not ‘free’ gas that is going to reduce everyone’s gas bills. You’re still going to have to pay full market price for it.

Shells biggest investors are Blackrock, Vanguard and Norges bank.
Equinor is majority owned by the Norwegian government.

Gas from Jackdaw is expected to start reaching British homes and businesses as early as the end of this month.
