I am living with severe #MECFS and autoimmune autonomic neuropathy for the last decade. Some days I cannot stand. Other days I get by fine and can stand and walk a bit.
Chronic illness has a way of taking what is the normal bare minimum to exist and making it into a marathon your body isn’t ready to run.
Before I was sick I never gave much thought to taking showers, cooking meals, gardening, keeping house or making art. It was normal. I was very active.
Then came exhaustion, pain, sleepless nights and anxiety of not understanding why my body was betraying me at such a young age. Unexplained symptoms, scans, appointments, more needles than I can count.
I have 52 hospital bracelets. Each time I added another to the pile I questioned myself. I questioned God. I hated my body and the fact that I was still the same me, just trapped in this body that betrayed me. It turned 80 before I turned 30.
Specialists, complications, physicians who found it easier to tell me I was depressed than to believe my experience. Medical gaslighting.
I finally met a neurologist who changed my life. He said let’s investigate this together. A decade to find the cause. In that time I watched my health bar decrease the same way it did when I played Streetfighter in an arcade as a kid.
Research. I did so much research after my diagnosis. I modified my life, my diet, my habits and regiments. My family adapted, stepped up to help. We’ve prayed and cried a lot.
I don’t get around very much, I don’t go in public much because I’m too immune compromised. But I’m here and I have a voice and I’m finding support here in X in the #chronicillness and #mecfs #autoimmune communities.
I’m surviving and I have a voice and if you’re chronically ill, you do too. Sometimes just having someone who “gets it” can be a lifeline or a laugh when you need one.

Expect to see a lot of panicked TRAUMA DUMPING over the next few days as many of these people begin to slowly grasp the situation they have placed themselves in.
Not only politically, but legally, criminally.
In 1998 during the Christmas rush, I had just been hired to work for Best Buy at their Corpus Christi location. And the computer section, on my first day they were settling me in to my new position and left me briefly with this very short, fat kid who ethically was from the Philippines.
I could instantly tell something was wrong. He was freaking out, when I had first come in there had been a cop car parked just outside the front doors and there were several police at the front near the manager’s office.
I had paid it. No mind had introduced myself and was being introduced and turned to everyone I was going to be working with the assistant manager that was going to be showing me the ropes. Excuse himself briefly, said he would be back and left me with this Filipino kid at the computer section.
Like I said, it didn’t take me long to realize that this kid was having a manic episode.
Eyes is wide as saucers, sweating, stammering. Absolutely preoccupied and not acting normally.
Suddenly, he blurted out “you know I could take you all out! I own a rifle and I know how to use it.”
WHAT. THE. FUCK?
I stared at him and shock and asked him why in the world would you say that?
He repeated himself, never looking at me, eyes wide as saucers, staring all around babbling about how he was being disrespected, and he knew how to deal with people who disrespected him.
After about two minutes, I excuse myself and went and found the manager of the store who by the way was with the police and told him what this dumpy pasty face little lunatic had just told me.
As it turns out, there was a female cashier in the manager’s office being arrested for a significant amount of theft, and he was her accomplice.
The manager thanked me for letting them know I never saw that kid again.
They had been ripping off the store for over $10,000 over the past few weeks and he realized that the jig was up and had gone into PANIC MODE.
Realizing he was well and truly caught, and that his arrest was inevitable and eminent, he began psychologically lashing out.
You are about to see a lot of of that in the next two weeks both before the midterms and immediately after.
You are going to watch people, who cannot help themselves, who are well and truly screwed begin psychologically and verbally lashing out and I just want you to know I’m here for that. I’m going to enjoy every fucking moment of it.
I never forgot that short, dumpy kid who made some pan ultimate bad choices that caught up with him.
Those of us who made better choices and are walking a higher, lighter path, have an obligation to see this through.
