Farmers Don't Need to Produce More. They Need to Own More. Why GROW could fundamentally change the economics of agriculture. There's a peculiar paradox in modern agriculture that doesn't get nearly enough attention. A farmer buys a bigger tractor to become more efficient. That tractor requires more acres to justify the investment. More acres require more equipment, more operating capital, more financing and, inevitably, more debt. Before long, the farmer is producing more food than ever, managing more land than ever, and carrying more financial risk than ever. The farm has grown. But has the farmer actually become wealthier? We've spent generations helping farmers become more productive. Perhaps it's time we started helping them become more powerful. And that's precisely why we're building GROW. Not simply another blockchain. Not another cryptocurrency looking for a use case. But the foundations of a new agricultural economy where producers have greater ownership, sovereignty and control over the value they create. DATA SOVEREIGNTY | The most undervalued asset on the farm Think about what a farmer produces beyond food. Decades of soil knowledge, yield histories, genetics, grazing records, water management, biodiversity improvements, supply chain intelligence, carbon data and operational decisions. Collectively, this represents an extraordinary amount of economic intelligence. Yet much of that information sits scattered across equipment manufacturers, software providers, financial institutions and technology platforms. The farmer creates the intelligence, but too often someone else controls the infrastructure that captures its value. Through agricultural data rails, blockchain-backed records and initiatives such as FarmTracer, GROW is developing the foundations for farmers to document, verify and share valuable information on their own terms. Imagine a world where producers decide who accesses their data, how it's used and whether they receive compensation when that information creates commercial value. Your land. Your production. Your intelligence. Your data. That's not just transparency. That's economic sovereignty. AI SOVEREIGNTY | Farmers should own the intelligence they help create Artificial intelligence is about to become one of the most consequential technologies agriculture has ever encountered. But there's a rather important question we ought to ask. Who owns the intelligence? If farmers provide the historical records, agronomic observations, genetics, environmental information and operational knowledge that make agricultural AI valuable, shouldn't they have a meaningful say in how those systems are developed and commercialised? Imagine farmer-controlled AI helping optimise rotations, evaluate financing options, model livestock productivity, identify international buyers and measure the real economic value of regenerative practices. And imagine doing that without surrendering ownership of the underlying information. The next agricultural revolution shouldn't be about replacing farmer intelligence with artificial intelligence. It should be about giving farmer intelligence extraordinary new capabilities. REAL-WORLD ASSETS | Unlocking the economic value already sitting on the farm Here's where things become particularly interesting. Farmers are surrounded by real-world assets. Livestock, grain, land, equipment, inventory, forward production and verified environmental outcomes. Yet accessing capital against those assets generally means stepping back into the same traditional financial structures. Banks, collateral requirements, interest payments, credit assessments and debt covenants. Real-world asset tokenisation, or RWA, opens the possibility of representing verified agricultural assets digitally and connecting them with new marketplaces, commercial partners and forms of capital. Consider livestock with independently verified ownership and production records, or stored grain linked to documented inventory. With appropriate legal structures and verification, these assets could participate in new financing and trading arrangements. It doesn't eliminate risk or guarantee liquidity, but it can expand the economic choices available to producers. And choice is something agriculture desperately needs more of. NEW ECONOMIC MODELS | Breaking the cycle of debt dependency I'm not suggesting debt is inherently bad. Sensible financing has helped build some extraordinary farming operations. The problem arises when borrowing becomes the only realistic path to growth. Borrow to plant. Borrow to harvest. Borrow to purchase machinery. Borrow to expand. Then hope commodity markets, weather and interest rates cooperate long enough to make the repayments. What if producers could develop additional ways to generate revenue and access capital? Through verified production, direct global commerce, asset-backed transactions, traceability services, environmental markets and digital infrastructure participation. What if farmers could capture more of the value generated after their product leaves the farm gate? GROW's ambition is to help establish the infrastructure through which these opportunities can develop. Not to eliminate traditional finance overnight, but to ensure it no longer represents the only economic option available. Financial independence begins with having alternatives. GLOBAL AGRICULTURAL TRADE | Opening new markets and opportunities Agriculture is global. Yet the systems connecting farmers to international markets remain remarkably fragmented. Different verification standards, different payment infrastructure, different documentation requirements and multiple intermediaries. Every additional layer can introduce cost, friction or delay. Now imagine agricultural products moving through digital trade corridors supported by verifiable provenance, trusted documentation and blockchain-enabled commerce. A cattle producer in Canada. A coffee grower in Colombia. A regenerative farm in Puerto Rico. A grain producer in Australia. All potentially connecting to broader markets through infrastructure designed around transparency, interoperability and trust. That's where GROW's work across blockchain infrastructure, FarmTracer and The Nourish Mart begins to connect into a much larger vision. Not just tracing where food comes from, but helping build new economic relationships around the people producing it. MORE PROGRAMMES. MORE OPPORTUNITY. MORE POWER. Perhaps the most exciting opportunity isn't any single application. It's what becomes possible when agricultural data, financial infrastructure, AI, digital assets and global commerce begin working together. Farmer-controlled intelligence. New markets for verified environmental outcomes. Digital asset programmes. Better connections between producers and consumers. New agricultural financing opportunities. More direct routes to market. Some of these opportunities are already being explored within the GROW ecosystem, while others remain part of our longer-term vision. And that's what makes GROW so important. We're not simply looking at how farmers can grow more crops, raise more livestock or become more efficient. We're asking how farmers can retain more ownership of the economic value they already create. Because the future of agriculture cannot simply be bigger machinery, bigger operations, bigger loans and bigger obligations. It has to be about stronger businesses, better margins, more resilient communities and genuine financial freedom. I've spent my life in agriculture, and I can tell you this: farmers don't lack intelligence, innovation, work ethic or ambition. What they have too often lacked is economic leverage. And that is what we have an opportunity to change. The next agricultural revolution isn't just about producing more from the land. It's about ensuring the people stewarding that land have greater power over their own economic future. That's the future we're working towards with GROW. And frankly, it's long overdue. I told you something was up with this… Not even 48 hours ago, a totally unknown AI Researcher named Jacob Coxon’s post told the world that AI was going to kill them All, and it has now gained 148 Million views on X alone This person created his account in Jan this year, and never tweeted anything until this tweet. It does not make sense… until you see who is pushing it non stop. @elonmusk JB Pritzker, Bernie, Sanders, Ted Lieu, New York Times writers, CNN writers, and many many other politicians, ALL, in lockstep…
Fear porn, or genuinely concerned? Former AI researcher for Anthropic and OpenAi, who joined X January 2026, and this was his only tweet, says he resigned because these companies are gambling with everyone’s lives. He warns everyone not to underestimate the power of this technology, that even those building it believes it could kill us all by the end of the decade. 🔻 My Thoughts: This was the only tweet he has ever written, and it accumulated 57 million views on X alone in 16 hours. He is not a well known person. I am also seeing the New York Times and CNN push this… So this is kind of odd for me.

🚨 THIS IS HUGE NEWS FOR AMERICAN RANCHERS, WORKERS, AND FAMILIES! 🇺🇸 Just weeks after Tyson abruptly announced the closure of its Joslin, Illinois beef plant—affecting nearly 2,700 workers—an independent Iowa packing plant is preparing to fire back up. Daisy River is working to hire many of the skilled workers displaced by the Joslin closure, including people who dedicated 20, 30, and even 40 years of their lives to the beef industry. Now, the American Rancher Alliance is in the early stages of aligning with GridironBeef.com, launched through the partnership of Jason Birt, legendary Super Bowl–winning coach Jon Gruden, and Tom Zenner. Together, we are working to build something America desperately needs: an independent, American beef supply chain that supports American ranchers, independent packers, American workers, and American consumers. And right now, you can help support this movement while filling your freezer with American beef! 🥩 One-eighth, one-quarter, half, and whole beef shares 🥩 Just $8.99 per pound before shipping 🥩 Based on ACTUAL PACKAGED BEEF—not hanging weight 🥩 At least 64 pounds with a one-eighth share 🥩 At least 515 pounds with a whole share 🥩 Born, raised, and finished in the USA Go to GridironBeef.com and use code ARA at checkout! Every purchase helps support American ranchers, restart an independent Iowa packing plant, restore American jobs, and break the Big Four’s control over America’s beef supply chain. BUY AMERICAN BEEF. Should SCOTUS decide to hear the Ream case - which on the surface appears to be the right to distill spirits at home - it could pave the way to opening local beef markets! That's because the case hinges upon an interpretation of the Commerce Clause that has given Congress nearly unchecked authority to regulate private activity. ohio.news/stories/61-organiz…
