There’s a reason why Florida was the only state that went darker red. Florida was the only state “immune” from the blue wave. That’s not a coincidence. They were the only state that fully cleansed their election system. Desantis deserves credit for that. Mara Lago area even flipped a blue seat. Florida will eventually become the template. Here’s how Florida protected it’s election system: (Brave search) SB 90 (signed May 2021) •Required voters to renew their vote-by-mail registration every election cycle(previously valid for four years) •Restricted ballot drop boxes to early-voting hours and required staffing •Banned third-party ballot collection("ballot harvesting"); possessing more than two mail ballots became a crime •Required the last four digits of a Social Security or driver's license number to register or request a mail ballot •Banned private/outside funding of election administration (the so-called "Zuckerbucks" ban) •Mandated hourly real-time turnout data on a statewide dashboard SB 524 (signed April 2022) •Created the Office of Election Crimes and Security (OECS), a 25-person unit under the Secretary of State, one of the first dedicated election-crime units in the nation •Made collecting more than two mail ballots a felony (previously a misdemeanor) •Required annual voter-roll cleanup(previously every two years) •Banned ranked-choice voting statewide •Raised fines for voter-registration violations from $1,000 to $50,000 Florida SAVE Act / HB 991 (signed April 2026) •Expanded citizenship verification at voter registration •Removed student ID as an acceptable form of voter identification •Tightened candidate qualification rules ———— Did you catch the important “safeguards” that protected against yesterday’s election steal? They centered around registration integrity, vote counting integrity and ballot integrity. And “student ID” is not valid to vote. Citizenship requirement to vote. This is all coming nationwide. But first you have to expose and prosecute the fraudulent election system officials to kick off the demand for a nationwide cleansing. I believe that is incoming.

When I was young, I received some messed up messaging from my church when it came to women. I felt I was responsible for everything, that the details of others’ lives mattered more than my own. Wrong, and led to burn out. Which of these women in the list are you?
*Maturity taught me that* not every woman is a Proverbs 31 woman. And honestly, that’s okay. *Some women are Deborahs* — called to lead, speak boldly and stand on the front lines. *Some are Ruths* — loyal, humble and faithful even when nobody is watching. *Some are Esthers* — positioned for influence, with courage rising when the moment calls for it. *Some are Marys* — chosen to surrender and carry a purpose they didn’t fully understand. *Some are Hannahs* — shaped by prayer, waiting, tears and a faith that refuses to die. *Some are Abigails* — wise, discerning and brave enough to step in before things fall apart. *Some are Miriams* — worshippers, leaders and women who know how to praise God after surviving battles. *Some are Rahabs* — women with complicated pasts who prove that your beginning does not have to determine your ending. *Some are Naomis* — women who have lost so much, yet somehow find the strength to begin again. *Some are Lydia’s* — business-minded, resourceful women who use what they have to make room for others. *Some are Priscillas* — women who teach, guide and build alongside others. *Some are Mary Magdalene’s* — women whose lives were transformed by God and who carried their testimony boldly. *And then there are Jezebels* — a reminder that influence without humility, power without accountability and manipulation can destroy everything around you. *The Bible didn’t give us only one type of woman.* *It gave us leaders.* Warriors. Mothers. Worshippers. Entrepreneurs. Intercessors. Survivors. Women who waited. Women who fought. Women who failed. Women who were restored. And women whose lives became warnings. *So stop expecting every woman to look* the same, love the same, lead the same or walk the same path. *You don’t have to be another woman*. You just have to become the woman God created YOU to be. ❤️‍🔥🙏🏾

Lots of good suggestions to this eye rolling situation I find myself in more and more.
What’s a polite way to tell someone, “I’m not discussing this with you because your entire understanding of the subject is built on so many interconnected misconceptions that correcting them would require uninstalling your current worldview and starting the tutorial from birth”?

Bend, Oregon man who shot and killed a shooter at his daughters' school speaks out, praises female teacher for fighting the shooter, allowing him to have a clear shot. Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives. He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter. "I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..." "I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."

I love a good hack, especially if it means getting back to sleep.
Andrew Huberman's trick for falling back asleep at 3am: a pattern of eye movements under closed eyelids that shuts down the proprioceptive circuits in your cerebellum. "It costs nothing and it generally works." @hubermanlab youtube.com/watch?v=MGxcosNu…

Accurate as to the methodology used to proliferate biased reporting across other subjects too like vaccine injuries.
In three parts, I explain how I was brainwashed into becoming a biased climate reporter. Step 1: Deconstruct your identity. When I entered a newsroom at 25, this was the pervasive ideology: The world is divided into two groups—the oppressed and the oppressors. If you are white, straight, privileged, or American, you are inherently an oppressor. Everything you grew up believing is wrong or evil. You cannot be trusted to see the world as it really is because you are inherently racist, biased, and part of the oppressor class. I was young, excited to be there, and surrounded by people I thought were smarter and cooler than I was. So I absorbed their worldview and ceded my judgment to the group. Once you are demoralized, feel guilty for being an oppressor, can no longer trust your own intuition, or your own interpretation of the facts, you will believe whatever the group tells you to believe. Step 2: Atone for your sins. Because you are an oppressor all you can do is atone for the sins of your birth. You can do that by repeating and advancing the group’s ideology. You never question it, because questioning the ideology is treated as proof that you are racist, selfish, or an oppressor. For me, this manifested as becoming a climate reporter. Through my work I could help the downtrodden, the indigenous people and other marginalized groups. I could be a good ally. And so without questioning, I pushed the idea that climate change was an existential crisis, fossil-fuel companies were evil, capitalism was destroying the planet, and America was an imperialist country that had destroyed the environment. Essentially all of the problems we faced were because of Western imperialism. If I had any doubts about this way of thinking I would shut them down. Who was I to question any of it? I was just some stupid, privileged white girl who didn’t know anything. That was what I had been told about myself and that is what I believed. Better to go along with the group, keep my head down, and be a good ally. Step 3: Fully submit to the ideology. The West is evil. America is evil. Capitalism is evil. White people are evil. Everything you grew up believing is wrong, and the only way to fix the world is to tear all of these systems down. The weird thing is that I fell for all of this from a place of compassion. I wanted to help the downtrodden. I wanted to solve inequality. I wanted to fix the world. I thought that by giving up my personal agency to this ideology, I was playing my part in atoning for the sins of my birth. I believe what I went through is still incredibly relevant today. It helps explain the DSA’s growing power within the Democratic Party. Why most Democrats can’t bring themselves to condemn socialism. Why so many young people believe America deserved 9/11. Why young people and celebrities chant “Free Palestine” without understanding that Hamas is a terrorist organization or anything about the conflict. They’ve been told what to believe and who the oppressor is in each of these situations. Ten years of cancel culture has taught people that questioning the ideology doesn’t simply mean you disagree. It means you are an evil oppressor. You are racist, sexist, privileged, out of touch, evil. Disagree and you will be cast out and lose everything. Once people become afraid to trust themselves, examine the facts, or stand against the group, you’ve got them. They can be convinced to believe and do anything. What do you all think? Did I describe this accurately?

My neighbor finished paying off her house in 2024. She bought it in 1994 for $78,000. Thirty years of payments at $593 a month. She's 74 now. Social Security pays her $1,910 a month. That's $22,920 a year. The place two doors down sold for $615,000 last spring, so the county reassessed hers to match. Her tax bill this year: $8,100. That's $675 a month. She paid $593 a month to buy the house. She pays $675 a month to keep it. Thirty years of payments ended and the bill went up. The deed says she owns it. The county bills her like she's renting.

“Here’s a bucket of federal funds that are going to get spent no matter what. We aren’t increasing the size of the bucket, but we want to improve how it’s spent.” “Can we get rid of the bucket?” “No, it was created through a broad bipartisan majority and has nearly universal political support.” “And who is getting it now?” “Mostly your political opponents and people who want to destroy the American way of life.” “Can we stop them?” “No, but we could change the parameters of the program to allow it to go to families with married parents with stay at home mothers who are working to raise their children and not just dump them on the state, you know, the kind that are the bedrock of western civilization.” “No. Thats socialism!” “Okay…”

Saw Cocker at the House of Blues in Chicago years ago. My purse accidentally bumped some dude & he called me a crude name. Before I could blink my husband was on him like a cheap suit and it took two other guys to pull him off. I kind of liked it.
In 1976, Joe Cocker performed as SNL's musical guest but surprised the live audience when John Belushi came out to duet as his famous SNL impersonation of him 🔥😂 so good

Re travails of motherhood: it’s really difficult, taxing beyond comprehension for the uninitiated, made harder by broken down foundational institutions like church, family, neighboring. It’s useful to talk about that. AND to say we humans are built for it, can arrange our lives to cope better, our forebears did it without electricity, & kids are worth it.
