Africa has become one of the regions actually driving Web3 adoption, with places like Nigeria and Kenya contributing real activity to the broader ecosystem.
There are plenty of builders and founders here with solid ideas. One of the practical problems is the cost of building on some Layer 1s. High fees make it harder for early-stage projects to experiment and ship.

FungoLabs uses a uniform-price sealed-bid auction.
this means everyone places bids privately, and all successful bidders pay the same final price, regardless of how much they originally bid.
let's use a simple example:
Imagine 3 NFTs are available, with a minimum bid of 500 cZAMA.
then four people place bids:
▪︎ A: 3,000 cZAMA
▪︎ B: 1,500 cZAMA
▪︎ C: 1,000 cZAMA
▪︎ D: 500 cZAMA
the top three bidders win, making 1,000 cZAMA the clearing price.
so.....
▪︎ A pays 1,000 and gets 2,000 back.
▪︎ B pays 1,000 and gets 500 back.
▪︎ C pays 1,000.
▪︎ D loses and gets the full 500 refunded.
what does this mean for you?
Bid what you genuinely think the NFT is worth.
If you win, you only pay the final clearing price, and any excess is refunded.

Shoes ain't slippers.
I learned that the hard way when a shoe maker tried to extort 678 yen from me.
What bothered me was not just the money. It was the difficulty of getting a fair judgement when the person responsible for the work was also part of the disagreement.
There is a difference between someone making an honest mistake and someone deliberately trying to cheat you. A fair system should recognise that difference.
That is one reason @GenLayer requires validators to lock GEN before they can judge a case.
A validator that ends up on the losing side after an appeal can forfeit its applicable fee. But when deliberate protocol misconduct is proven through the tribunal process, part of its locked stake can also be slashed.
That distinction matters. Getting a decision wrong is not automatically fraud, but deliberately violating the rules carries a much bigger consequence.
Without something at risk, anyone could keep judging disputes without bearing the cost of a bad decision. GEN gives validators an economic reason to take their responsibility seriously.
