Ang pet aftercare and crematory ay maituturing na isang industriya na. Ang problema ay largely unregulated sila. Kung sa pang-tao na mga funeral parlor at crematorium may strict regulations at monitoring, dapat ganun din โyung sa mga alaga natin.
Kailangang maging proactive ang Bureau of Animal Industry at mga LGU. They have to immediately inspect and monitor these facilities while we wait for stronger laws.

Akbayan Party congratulates the American people, particularly migrant, minority and marginalized communities, for delivering a decisive electoral rebuke to Donald Trump and his Republican allies in the 2026 US midterm elections. By voting the Democratic Party into majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, American voters made it clear that authoritarianism and abuses of power have no place in a democratic society.
For years, Trumpโs politics of racism, division, war, disinformation, and contempt for democratic accountability have emboldened authoritarian and right-wing movements across the globe. By rejecting Trumpism at the ballot box, American voters have proven that democratic rights can be defended and reclaimed.
The recent US poll results are only the latest in a series of electoral victories for democratic movements worldwide. Earlier this year, Hungarian voters ousted far-right authoritarian Viktor Orbรกn after 16 years in power. In Brazil, Lula da Silva was reelected to the presidency, defeating rightist Flรกvio Bolsonaro. Serbiaโs youth movement helped unseat the ruling party of populist Aleksandar Vuฤiฤ, while Benjamin Netanyahuโs Likud Party lost its parliamentary majority in Israel.
These victories abroad will serve as an inspiration to the Filipino people as we prepare to mount an electoral revolution in 2028. Here at home, we must stand up against entrenched political dynasties, challenge abuses of power, and defend our democratic institutions. The global pushback against authoritarianism is gaining momentum, and the Filipino people must take part in standing up for democracy.

Ayon kay Akbayan Rep. Perci Cendaรฑa, maituturing na galawang sindikato ang panloloko at pagsasamantala ng pet crematorium sa mga furparent na nagluluksa sa pagkawala ng kanilang mga alaga.
Panahon na para mas magkaroon ng malinaw na regulasyon sa mga pet cremation facilities para maprotektahan ang mga alagang hayop at matiyak na mabibigyan sila ng maayos at marangal na paglilibing.

Ayon kay Akbayan Rep. Perci Cendaรฑa, hindi na lamang isolated incidents, kundi masasabing โsindikatoโ ang nasa likod ng umanoโy malawakang panloloko sa mga pet owner, na nagbabayad para sa cremation at aftercare services ng kanilang namatay na alaga.
โPagsasamantala sa kanilang grief, pagsasamantala sa kanilang pangungulila sa panahon na pinaka-vulnerable sila, niloloko โyung ating mga kababayan,โ dagdag pa niya.
Dahil dito, nanawagan si Cendaรฑa sa mga awtoridad na magsagawa ng masusing imbestigasyon upang matukoy ang mga operator na sangkot at mapanagot ang mga ito.
Iminungkahi rin niya ang mas mahigpit na regulasyon at pagbabantay sa mga pet cremation service upang maprotektahan ang mga pet owner at maiwasan ang mga katulad na insidente.

Akbayan Partylist Rep. Perci Cendaรฑa urges the House of Representatives to investigate the 29 animal remains dumped in a vacant lot in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
According to Cendaรฑa, the alleged deception of pet owners could be considered a form of syndicated fraud, adding that those responsible should face multiple criminal charges.

UPDATE: The Akbayan Party-list will urge the House of Representatives to investigate the discovery of 29 animal remains in a vacant lot in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
In an interview with BNC, Akbayan Rep. Percival Cendaรฑa said the alleged deception of pet owners could be considered a form of syndicated fraud, adding that those responsible should face multiple criminal charges.

Nakakalungkot at nakakagalit itong ganitong ginawang pag tapon sa labi ng mga aso at pusa na parang ordinaryong basura. Kahit hayop deserve naman ng maayos na libing.
If indeed these were dumped by pet aftercare facilities then we need them to be held to account and at the very least have their business licenses suspended.
Kaya kailangan isabatas ang ALAGA Bill upang may maayos na regulation ng mga animal control facilities at proper reporting and documentation for our pets.
