OK, there are about 70,000 Georgians who have absentee ballots that haven't been accepted by their counties yet. We have reached that point in the cycle where, if you haven't mailed it yet, your best bet is to drop it in a drop box or turn it in at your County elections office.

Yes indeed @JeromeAdamsMD Let’s go. One in 250 pregnant women with Syphilis is far too many.
Wow- I finally found a statement and policy on infectious diseases from Secretary Kennedy that seems consistent with what experts are calling for, and which I can support! 🤯 👏🏽

As we near the anniversary of the terror attack on the CDC, I want to highlight this incredible interview my friend @AndyPierrotti of Atlanta First News did with the shooter's father. He's a fantastic investigative reporter. It's worth a watch. atlantanewsfirst.com/2025/08…

Price has been a major barrier to access for these medications, especially for older adults who may live on fixed incomes. Bringing costs down through a temporary federal program may finally put them within reach. But medical experts caution that price shouldn't be the only consideration when deciding whether to use one of these powerful drugs. cnn.it/4ggyfkG

No one is more mortified by a mistake than a journalist committed to factual reporting. The best own up to it, correct it and apologize for it, as @NinaTotenberg has done. It's worth remembering a long career dedicated to getting it right.
Replying to @brianstelter
Totenberg read the text of the apology message she sent to Justice Alito: "Dear Justice Alito, there are no words to adequately apologize for today's error in reporting your retirement. It was entirely my fault. I rushed out of the courtroom after the opinion announcements, and when I realized that the usual rush of folks after a few minutes had not happened, I asked somebody was going on inside, to which the answer was, 'retirement announcements.' I didn't hear the 's' on 'announcements,' and I assumed something no reporter should ever do, that you were retiring. It was the worst professional mistake of my more than 50 years in journalism. I could go on, but I don't know what else to say, except that I am so, so sorry."

A common question about vaccine-associated myocarditis is how the risk compares to myocarditis from SARS-CoV-2 infection (Covid). Having reviewed this data closely, I want to walk through what the studies show and why the answer has changed over time. 🧵
