Thank goodness. The Bay-Delta Plan can now be litigated. Thank Gavin Newsom for igniting California’s biggest water war!

Watching the Newsom team & @CaWaterBoards desperate attempts to set a record of the greatness of the Bay-Delta Plan would be hilarious if it weren’t so serious for the Delta, the millions of people in the region who will be impacted & tribes upstream. History will remember this.

My face when I remember the Delta tunnel and Voluntary Agreements are still in place at the CA State Water Board 😐 The upcoming Bay-Delta Plan hearings are our chance to speak up for stronger water protections & communities that depend on the Delta. 🔗 bit.ly/4sn5B5l

🌊 Myth vs. Fact: Bay-Delta Plan Edition California’s Bay-Delta Plan is meant to protect water quality, river flows, and ecosystems across the state’s largest estuary and watershed. But the latest update leaves critical gaps in science, public health, and participation. 1/5

❌ Myth: The Bay-Delta Plan adequately addresses harmful algal blooms (HABs) and protects public health. ✅ Fact: The plan does not establish enforceable standards for cyanotoxins associated with HABs. Reliance on VAs also sidesteps strict regulations needed to address HABs. 4/5
