I had just turned 3 a few weeks before. I was like a sponge, loving every single thing about this show. It was my favorite! I was just at the perfect age to have the cool/fun/educational/groovy messages beamed straight into my consciousness.

Loved it! I was 5 & starting to read when this came out so it was just right for me! I watched it long past the young years, up until about 3rd grade. Easy Reader, The Short Circus, Fargo North: Decoder & Spider-Man were my after-school jam until I was 8! Wish kids had this now!

You left out the best part… “HEY YOU GUYS!!!”

I was going to say that this is missing Rita Moreno's classic "Hey You Guys!!!" yell - but apparently that wasn't added to the intro until later seasons…

Morgan Freeman was in the original cast, years before he became a movie star. It came from the same outfit behind Sesame Street.

Most of my baby sitter "friends" were into Sesane Street or New Zoo Revue. I loved cookie monster but electric company was my favorite show.

I rode my bicycle home from school at lunch everyday just to watch this. This was the big kid version of Sesame Street.
