One of the most disturbing and under talked about stories right now in the United States is the fact that People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), also known as Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK)
MEK is passing out money to GOP operatives and lobbyists to influence the outcome of the Iranian people led regime change in Iran.
MEK is being pushed as an alternative to the Islamic regime in Iran, when in reality they are the same thing, dressed up in colorful clothing. MEK was responsible for the death of U.S. military officers and contractors in Iran between 1973 and 1976.
MEK is a terrorist, Marxist and Islamist cult that is rejected inside Iran. It is critical to note they murdered American soldiers, celebrated the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks on New York City, and are longtime allies of the PLO Islamic terrorist organization, among having involvement in other atrocities.
Until a decade ago, MEK was designated as a terrorist group in the US and Canada. Their terror designation was removed by Hillary Clinton @HillaryClinton under the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama @BarackObama, who enabled and funded the Iranian regime, paving the way for the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal. On May 8, 2018, President Donald Trump announced the United States' withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), otherwise known as the Iran nuclear deal. Obama’s policies on Iran resulting in the rise of Iranian backed Islamic terror, and the death of many US soldiers.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨The MEK should be judged by its documented history, not its rebranding.
Its original ideology fused Islam with Marxist ideas. U.S. government reports have linked the organization to assassinations of American military personnel and civilians in the 1970s, bombings and political assassinations in Iran, and years of support from Saddam Hussein’s regime. Human Rights Watch has also documented serious allegations of detention and abuse of dissident members inside MEK camps.
The Iranian people deserve a democratic future—not the Islamic Republic, and not an organization with this violent and authoritarian history.

MEK also operates as PMOI, MKO, the People’s Mojahedin, and its political front NCRI.
According to the U.S. State Department, the group was involved in the killing of American citizens in Iran in the 1970s and in an attack on U.S. soil in 1992. The United States designated MEK as a Foreign Terrorist Organization from 1997 to 2012. When it was removed from that list, the State Department said it did not overlook or forget those past acts.
U.S. and historical records also state that after 1979 the group based itself in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, fought against Iranian forces, and in 1992 carried out coordinated attacks on Iranian missions in multiple countries, including the Iranian mission to the United Nations in New York.
A name change does not change that record. Many Iranians reject them because they sided with Saddam against Iran.

🇰🇼 FORMAL APPEAL REGARDING THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC’S DIPLOMATIC REPRESENTATION IN KUWAIT

We respectfully call on the Government of Kuwait to take formal legal and diplomatic action regarding the continued accreditation of representatives appointed by the Islamic Republic and to begin the lawful process for future Iranian diplomatic representation during a democratic transition.
Kuwait has already exercised its authority against members of this mission.
On 3 June 2026, Kuwait reduced the size of the mission, declared two members of the Islamic Republic’s diplomatic mission personae non gratae, and ordered them to leave within 24 hours.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also maintains a Protocol Affairs Department that follows the accreditation and nomination procedures of foreign heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Kuwait.
We therefore formally request @MOFAKuwait @KuwaitiCM to review the continued accreditation of the Islamic Republic’s Ambassador and diplomatic personnel and to exercise Kuwait’s lawful diplomatic authorities where the applicable legal requirements are met.
We further request that Kuwait begin the formal legal and diplomatic process for the accreditation of representatives appointed by an Iranian transitional authority under the leadership of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, including the procedures governing agrément, credentials, accreditation and the future diplomatic representation of the State of Iran in Kuwait.
Kuwait’s own actions demonstrate that accreditation is not merely ceremonial. The State has already reduced this mission and declared members of it personae non gratae.
Our request is therefore clear: formal action, not merely procedural clarification.
We call on @MOFAKuwait @KuwaitiCM to formally review the Islamic Republic’s present diplomatic representation and to initiate the lawful accreditation pathway for representatives appointed by an Iranian transitional authority under the leadership of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.
The Islamic Republic’s diplomatic mission represents the Islamic Republic. The future diplomatic representation of the State of Iran is a separate legal and political question.
