MSI Afterburner is giving NVIDIA GPU owners access to hidden settings with its latest 4.6.7 Beta 5 update.
The new “out-of-warranty” mode unlocks advanced controls for GPU clocks, voltage and temperature limits, along with more detailed hardware monitoring.
These settings could be useful for enthusiasts who want more control over their graphics cards, but be careful. Changing the wrong settings can affect power limits and thermal protection, and MSI won’t cover problems caused by using these controls.

random thought; if spx gets to the launch cadence they are targeting I wonder where the threshold is for when weather forecasting in and around southern louisiana has to take launch activity into account for their forecast models because of the sheer amount of water vapor that will be introduced on a virtually constant basis

There’s rumblings of SLS and Orion needing serious changes ahead of Artemis IV
>Final ICPS might not fly, ever (centaur V for A4)
>Centaur V will need a stretch
>ML-1 will need mods
>Dual (!) ESMs needed for A4 in the event Starship HLS isn’t selected
All needed by 2028ish

Blue demostrando el sistema de despliegue del Rover VIPER de la NASA desde el módulo lunar Blue Moon Mk1.
😍😍😍
One demonstration closer to delivering VIPER to the Moon.
We just completed a risk-reduction test campaign with @NASA: running a full offload with a VIPER Mobility Ground Research Unit (MGRU) before doing so on the lunar surface.
We proved out the full concept of operations with our flight-like offloader: the complete offload sequence, nominal and off-nominal, ran end-to-end across the full range of lander tilt angles, with joint mission operations and NASA commanding the rover remotely. Stay tuned for images of our flight offloader, which is being fabricated now!

New turret of the T-90M and T-80BVM2 from UKBTM (Unified Turret).
The mounting of the Arena-M protective munitions has been changed compared with the 2022 version, see — t.me/btvt2019/1460
The box at the rear of the turret has been reworked: the external ammunition bin has been removed, the equipment module has been changed, and overall the external fittings have been changed significantly. At the same time, the left side of the turret, in terms of counter-munition placement, has remained similar to the old version — with 2 counter-munitions placed behind the turret, where the bin had previously been, while the right side was changed, with 6 counter-munitions placed compactly.
And they also hung ERA containers on this mesh to cover the turret–hull junction — a so-so idea.
So far, the multiple (threefold) increase in counter-munitions for the Arena-M APS is not apparent.

I find it hilarious when spaceflight larpers come into this community and say nonsense like this
Denying China being a big player is extremely dangerous and is how you collapse and fail
China is undoubtedly ahead of everyone except SpaceX, their station program was faster and cheaper than the ISS all by themselves, their reusable rockets have already flown and landed despite having fractions of dev time compared to the upcoming US reusable lifters, their interplanetary probes program is in a far better shape than NASA’s which has been a disaster, and China is on track to perform an unmanned landing next year, fly their new crew capsule next year, and land on the Moon in 2030!
These people are uneducated regarding the current state of spaceflight and are obviously driven by political hatred of the country. There’s a reason why Elon himself a decade ago said the only players in space would be SpaceX and China while the others fall behind
Replying to @Truthful_ast
China is not a serious player in any capacity. I suppose the fiction of them as a tiger is helpful to push people in the west to act. They're a joke otherwise.

Malian army has recaptured Kidal. 🇲🇱🇷🇺
During the night of 4 October, a large convoy comprising the FAMa and the Afrika Korps set off from the town of Anefis towards the town of Kidal. On 5 October, substantial air cover – which inflicted heavy losses on the JNIM/FLA coalition – enabled the convoy to advance northwards unopposed.

Mali's Tuareg forces announced a "controlled withdrawal" from the strategic town of Kidal after airstrikes by the Malian military backed by Russia's Africa Corps.
The Tuareg forces and al-Qaeda-linked JNIM had seized Kidal in April.
Malian forces previously retook it in late 2023 with Wagner support.
Kidal is the gateway to northern Mali — whoever holds it controls the route between Gao (the north's largest city, held by the government) and the vast Saharan interior where separatists and jihadists operate.

Communications between Olenya Airbase and strategic command and control in Moscow are now being recorded.
A large-scale, combined missile and drone attack will take place tonight.
Updates will follow below in a thread format ⬇️
❗️The upcoming combined Russian missile and drone attack that I was warning about will likely take place tonight. It will be combined with strategic bombers.
During the night, 3 Tu-160M and 6 Tu-95MS strategic bombers were redeployed from Ukrainka Airbase in the Far East. The Tu-160s flew to Belaya Airbase, and the Tu-95MS flew to Olenya and possibly Engels-2. Most/all of them are equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles, which were delivered to Ukrainka Airbase with an An-124-100 military transport aircraft yesterday.
In addition, 2 Buyan-M corvettes were re-equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles in the Caspian Sea following the earlier "Centre-2026" exercises. They are stationed at Kaspiysk Naval Base, Republic of Dagestan.
Furthermore, up to 40 missiles of various types (Iskander-M, RM-48U, Oniks-M, Kn-23, & Zircon) are ready in Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, & Rostov Oblasts after another dozen or so were delivered in the last few days. Up to one-third of these missiles are Kn-23 ballistics. Not all of the ~40 missiles will be used in this upcoming attack; some will be reserved for a future attack.
Hundreds of Geran-2 drones, Geran-4 jet-drones, Geran-5 jet-drones, and S8000 Banderol cruise missiles are also ready for use at launch points surrounding Ukraine. They will likely be launched over a longer period of time to exhaust Ukrainian air defences.
The main target of this attack will likely be energy infrastructure. The highest threat is to Kyiv City, Kyiv Oblast, Dnipro City, and Kremenchuk (Poltava Oblast), as well as the western regions of Ukraine (especially Rivne, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv Oblasts).
The threat window for missiles (excluding Banderols) is from 12am-8am. As usual, ground-based missiles will be used first, and air-launched cruise missiles (Kh-101s) will be used second.
It is not 100% guaranteed that an attack will indeed take place tonight, however the threat is much higher than previous nights when increased threat levels were issued.

South Korea shipped more than 176,000 tonnes of fuel, mostly diesel, to Russia in July and August, according to a Guardian analysis of port and ship-tracking data.
Seven tankers made 14 voyages to Russia’s far east, including three vessels sanctioned by the UK and EU.
Some ships declared destinations such as Japan or Singapore before sailing to Vladivostok, while one received fuel through a ship-to-ship transfer off South Korea.
In August, Russia imported 368,000 tonnes of oil products by sea — the highest monthly total since the full-scale invasion — with South Korea supplying 112,000 tonnes, or 31%.
