I am in a RIDICULOUS argument with my boys
When a DB does this are they doing the “seatbelt” or are they “putting the sword away”
Need to hear from you guys, thank you

Cool, cool. Sure, it wasn’t for sale. That’s the narrative Art of Play is gonna go with 👍 so the whole conversation we had when I asked you if it was for sale whilst pointing to the price tag hanging on the wall with the title Singing Bird didn’t happen as you elevator eyed me saying in a condescending tone “yes, it’s for sale but it costs 15,000 dollars so if you’d like me to find something comparable for you I can.” That all never happened and now it’s not for sale. Okay, cool. So you’re not only rude, you’re also a liar. Got it ✅
And by the way, I obviously support small businesses because I was literally at a small business trying to purchase things. I love small businesses and know they are important and I always support them, but you don’t get a free pass to treat people less than in your store just because you are a small business. It’s not that hard to be kind. I never blast people but you my friend were an exception.
Your store is really cool.
Unfortunately, you aren’t.

The landscape for digital royalties for comedians has been changing for quite a while it was happening long before the Sebastian Maniscalco stuff that bubbled up this week.
This is mainly for stand-up comics to give them a more nuanced look at whats changing in your industry

This is a pretty bad poll
Good:
- Michigan unranked
- Louisville stays ranked
- Virginia top 25
- Georgia top 2
Bad:
- Notre Dame top 3
- Oregon dropping 4 (Boise State is a good team)
- Oklahoma not top 10 (and 6th in SEC?)
- SMU too high at 17
- LSU at 8 is a bit too high
CFB Empire top 25 coming soon…

When Old Dominion opens its season Saturday night against Norfolk State, not one player will have his own name on his jersey.
Every single one will read LTC SHAH.
Lieutenant Colonel Brandon A. Shah was 42 years old. He grew up in Staunton, Virginia, enlisted in the Army in 2003 as an aviation operations specialist, then enrolled at Old Dominion and commissioned as an officer in 2007 with a degree in sociology.
He flew AH-64 Apache helicopters. More than 1,200 flight hours across three aircraft, over 600 of them in combat. Iraq. Afghanistan. Eastern Europe.
Bronze Star. Air Medal with Valor. Combat Action Badge. Senior Army Aviator Badge.
In 2022 he came back to the campus where it started, to run the ROTC program and chair the Military Science Department.
On the morning of March 12, a gunman walked into his classroom in Constant Hall.
Shah did not take cover.
"Brandon did not hesitate or take cover," Army Chaplain Lt. Col. Erik Alfsen said at his memorial. "Instead, he ran forward. He moved toward the threat. He exposed himself to danger, and he closed with the assailant, taking hold of him and bringing him to the ground."
That gave his cadets the seconds they needed. They subdued the attacker. The FBI later credited those students with preventing further loss of life.
Shah was shot in the struggle and died. Two others were wounded.
He left behind his wife Kathrine and his children.
"I truly believe Brandon knew exactly what he was doing in those final moments," Kathrine said. "He was protecting people. He was protecting his kids."
Alfsen put it another way at the memorial.
"There are cadets sitting before you on this field who will hug their families and kiss their loved ones goodnight tonight, because of Brandon's actions."
Now here's the part that ties it all together.
That memorial was held at S.B. Ballard Stadium. The football stadium. The same field the Monarchs will run onto Saturday night.
It included a 21-gun salute and the firing of ODU's cannon.
That cannon was Shah's. He took pride in painting it ODU blue, and he spent real effort working to make it as loud as he could get it.
One of his colleagues said it plainly that day.
"From now on, every time you hear big blue roar across the Elizabeth River, you can thank Lt. Col. Shah."
So on Saturday, at 6 PM, in the stadium where they said goodbye to him, ODU will kick off in Under Armour camo with his name on 100 backs, and that cannon will go off after every score.
The game-worn uniforms will be sold during the game for $300 each. Every dollar goes to his family.
Shah once described what the Army had given him.
"I've lived on four continents, been on five. I love flying and being around people who like to work."
A kid from Staunton who enlisted at 20, came home to teach, and ran toward the thing everyone else was running from.

Today is the anniversary of a truly momentous and epic Springsteen and E-Street Band show. The show known as “Met Life 3.” The final show of the 3 night stand at Met Life. For me it became my all time favorite Springsteen show ever. There were so many twists, turns, surprises and tour debuts. As all Springsteen shows tend to be, it was an all-out party. But It was also a drastic set list change up from the other River shows Bruce has done up until this point. Our jaws dropped lower and lower with every classic song Bruce and the Band were busting out. Hard To Be A Saint In The City, Blinded By The Light, Does This Bus Stop, Sandy, Kitty’s Back, Downbound Train, Secret Garden, Living Proof, Pretty Flamingo, and yes a deafening performance of “The Law” Incident into Rosalita!! Clocking in close to 4 hours Bruce shouted out: IM NOT QUITTING!! Then the encores which included Jungleland, Twist And Shout, Glory Days, Tenth Avenue, BTR and of course Jersey Girl!! Damn! The encores were a separate show in itself! Just a truly epic show. One I for one will never forget. Julie and I call it the "Knockout Show" for various reasons lol.
We definitely made our presence known with the hordes of Spring-Nut t-shirts at Met Life. Met Life itself put our tailgate group photo on their homepage website! Spring-Nuts made that stadium our personal Asylum for those 3 Met Life shows. I met so many of you during that 3 night stand, and our tailgates and now 3 years later I look back at all the friendships we made. It was an amazing time for Spring-Nuts and for me personally.
It was an absolute gift to be part of that show. And if you were there that night, you knew you were witnessing something special. Not just based solely on the set list itself which was jaw dropping. Bruce and the Band were on top of their game and you felt their energy, their power and more so their joy they were delivering on stage. Just writing about it and remembering it brings back all that adrenaline I felt that night. @springsteen #springsteen @MetLifeStadium

Here’s a quietly wonderful thing I noticed:
If you talk to someone who was in choir or band at a majority Black HS, you’ll eventually discuss those annoying fundraisers for uniforms, instruments, etc. & a SURPRISING number will casually say:
“Oh, Dolly Parton paid for ours”
This might go down as one of my worst posts ever
0/3 3 Ks in his debut never been more obvious, this guy is such a bum.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Joshua Báez went 3-for-4 in his MLB debut, hitting 3 home runs in his first 3 major league at-bats. Báez is the first player in MLB history to achieve such a feat.

When Don Rickles hosted SNL in 1984, he and Joe Piscopo would roast each other during the week while prepping for the show, but when the "Witness Relocation" sketch went live, not only did the roasting start up again as ad-libs but escalated into slapping each other as many times as they could 😂
