This is why supporting Ukraine makes sense. It costs us little, yet it drastically weakens a major adversary. Ukraine *buys* old weapons from us. Brave Ukrainians kill Russians, so *we* don’t have to. You’d be hard-pressed to find more BANG for our buck anywhere in government.
This chart is insane. This shows Russia's casualties over time compared to Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine over the last five years. No sane or rational person would say continuing the war to try and take more of Ukraine's territory is worth the casualties.

This is happening primarily because Trump made idiotic promises like lowering prices, which were entirely out of step with conservatism and impossible to follow through on. Then, everything he did from tariffs to the war contributed to yet higher prices.
I guess I'm partly to blame if there's a blue wave. I supported the Iran War...though to be fair, I didn't think we'd be doing this 8 months later But, when I'm wrong I have to admit it. Trump's handling of the war has been abysmal...including wasted time with the Vance MOU

The tragedy of the woke era is the abandonment of this universal ideal in favor of naive moral relativism. All people are created equal, but not all cultures are equal in respecting that fact. Liberals must defend their own values if liberty is to survive this illiberal moment.
I am not "America first" I am "individuals first" I am "liberty first" Individuals should come ahead of the state, not the other way around. America is a nation founded on the ideal (however imperfect in practice) that all individuals are born free. America First at the very core is the worship of a state. By its very nature, it is authoritarian because it will prioritize the nation above the individual. Libertarians should be weary of getting into bed with those populist-nationalists who after the midterms will have jumped off a sinking MAGA ship looking for any piece of driftwood to cling to as they grift. They have no principles and no guiding light other than power which they want to use against their supposed enemies. Principles matter. Liberty matters. I am a Libertarian. I reject the cult of the omnipotent state in all its collectivist forms. If you feel so inclined, I encourage you to join @LPNational and help set the world free in our lifetime.

The best book to read to understand Trump.
Every day — sometimes multiple times per day — this absurd malevolent figure lies outrageously or delusionally about something. There's never been anyone like this in national politics.

"Line go up" is the pejorative that saved a billion lives and enriched billions more. It's not simply correlation; it's causation. This is the graph the degrowthers want you to ignore.

The funniest thing to me about this is that all day long on X I hear what a horrible tragedy it is that western civilization is being assaulted by inferior immigrant cultures And Chud culture just seems to be Cracker Barrel, Cheesecake Factory and Sydney Sweeney’s tits
The funniest thing about Cheesegate is that Trump voters assume anybody who makes fun of Trump’s decorating taste is also making fun of their own decorating taste. But last I checked, your average middle American home didn’t look like this.

With all the Temu scrambled eggs Donald nailed to the walls, the inside of the White House looks like the scene of a bulimic food fight at a breakfast buffet

The media elite think Trump & his voters are tacky and have no taste. I pointed it out & they went absolutely insane because on a deep level, they know what I said about them is true @drdrew

Joe Rogan, discovering in the year 2026 of our Lord, that Donald J. Trump may not be entirely trustworthy.

Americans support Ukraine. Only 3% support Russia. The problem is the president of the United States is part of that 3%.

One of the many ways the woke right is woke: they buy into the notion that a system can be deemed discriminatory simply because it doesn’t give the demographic outcomes they think would be fair. That’s exactly how affirmative action was defended.
Harvard's admissions still fail to reflect merit. They admit too few Asians and Whites and too many Blacks and Hispanics to maintain plausible deniability. They're still discriminating.

In the pre-woke world, you had to actually prove discriminatory intent. You couldn’t just assert it was discriminatory based upon outcomes. That changed with “disparate impact” doctrine - which is woke bedrock.

Two parallel developments: 1) White representation fell in competitive schools after ending affirmative action. 2) Male representation at the workplace is falling as DEI practices dwindle. And the cries of incels filled the air.
Men have gained essentially no jobs since Trump took office. Since December 2024, the US has added about 760,000 jobs, and nearly all of them went to women, per government payroll data

This was an entirely predictable outcome. Asians were highly discriminated against by AA. Mediocre whites, many suspected, actually benefited on balance. That was even preferred as one reason unis were reluctant to abandon the practice.
no no no you don't understand getting rid of affirmative action was supposed to revert harvard to its demographics c. 1920 with lots of spots for heritage americans

Replying to @RioVeradonir
While this is all true, we should support Ukraine because Russia is evil and the world is better off if countries don't invade each other and are prevented from seizing territory from each other

Democrats are more insufferable lately *because* of MAGA. Ordinarily, liberals default to preferring moderate Republicans over leftists. But they’re convinced they have to close ranks to oppose fascism. The end of MAGA will be healthy for both parties and for the country.
