We have become very good at calculating the price of a barrel of oil, and much less comfortable calculating the price of a polluted river, degraded farmland, lost biodiversity, extreme heat or a failed harvest.

Iran’s seat at the United Nations belongs to the people, not to oppressive rulers; lasting change is brought about by the resistance within the country.
Coinciding with the start of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, thousands of members of the Iranian diaspora and advocates for democracy and human rights gathered for a massive demonstration outside the international organization's headquarters.
They rallied to condemn the usurpation of Iran’s diplomatic seat by the ruling religious-fascist regime, despite more than 72 international resolutions condemning the regime for systematic human rights violations and the killing of the Iranian people, and to declare their support for the popular movement and steadfast resistance units inside Iran.
In a televised message to the demonstrators, Mrs. #MaryamRajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, emphasized that "Iran’s seat belongs to the people of Iran and their just resistance for peace, freedom, and the establishment of a democratic republic."
She also stressed that the presence of individuals implicated in crimes against humanity within this international body undermines the principles of justice, and she called upon the international community to strip the regime of its legitimacy and recognize the right of Iranians to bring about change and establish their own democratic republic.
