Back at @Boro with @JanAageFjortoft for the club's 150th anniversary.
Juninho, Ravanelli, and plenty of familiar faces returning to a sold-out Riverside. A special day to be part of.
We took the camera along. Behind the scenes on The Fussball Channel👇

More and more convinced that the inclusion lead* in your school should just be the teaching and learning lead. Inclusive teaching is just excellent high-quality teaching. That’s 80%+ of your inclusion strategy.
*assuming SENDCO is a different role.

THE MATRIX (1999) is one of the greatest movies of the ’90s, full stop. The Wachowskis took cyberpunk, Hong Kong action and philosophical sci-fi and somehow turned it into a blockbuster that changed the way Hollywood made action movies.

Can anyone help with identifying one of the players in the team group today. Got all the rest but this fella!

LOTR might genuinely be one of the greatest things humans have ever put on a screen and I’m not even exaggerating. You can watch it as a kid and think it’s about hobbits and swords and this terrifying ring. Then you watch it as an adult and realize it’s basically about everything that actually matters.
Power corrupts people and evil usually starts really small..Good people can be tempted and courage isn’t about being fearless. Friendship can literally carry you when you can’t carry yourself anymore. The smallest person in the room can change the course of history. You do the right thing not because you know you’re going to win, but because it’s the right thing to do.
Honestly… I think it should be mandatory viewing for kids at some point. Not just “watch the movie” but actually dissect it. Why does Boromir fail? Why can Sam resist what other people can’t? Why does Frodo show Gollum mercy? Why is Aragorn a good leader when he spends half the story reluctant to have power? What happens when someone becomes consumed by resentment, fear, or the desire to control other people? Then make kids apply those questions to their own lives. Friendship, temptation, loyalty, courage, responsibility, choosing who you want to be when nobody is forcing you to choose correctly. There are probably more useful lessons about becoming a decent human being buried in those movies than in half the stuff we make kids memorize in school…and those are learnings and lessons that would stick and could carry you through all of life.
My favorite part is that the heroes aren’t these invincible characters either. They’re tired, scared, tempted, and completely outmatched. Half the time they have no idea what they’re doing but they just keep going….
Then somehow Peter Jackson took ALL of THAT and made three epic movies at the same time, filled them with real sets, real landscapes, thousands of extras, incredible music,… and made something that still looks better than movies being made with $200M budgets 25 years later.
I really don’t think we’ll ever get another thing like it.

Today was also a massive tribute to @boroshaun1971 and the late Colin Galloway who drove the #Boro legacy numbers project along with others.
Well played to both of them.

There are a number of theories that underpin this blog:
1. There are problems in the education system
2. At least some of those problems can be solved not through grand ideas, but by improving the quality of teaching in schools.
3. A core component of better teaching is better behaviour.
4. There are lots of classrooms where behaviour isn't good enough.
5. We should fix that first.
What are your thoughts?
Do read the blog, and share if you enjoyed :)
There are lots of views about how to improve our education system. Not enough of them focus on the classroom. We pursue big structural solutions, when we should be looking at how to create calm, quiet, peaceful classrooms.
New post, please share!

Unless you were there, you will never understand how valuable these guidebooks were in the days before you could even buy / stream full seasons at whim. They were the best way to find out what episodes you hadn’t seen while you anxiously waited for them to randomly air one day.
On October 3, 1997, “The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family,” an episode guide covering the first eight seasons of the show, was first published by @HarperCollins.
