Did this really happen or was it a fever dream? Head over to The Phoenix to find out the full story of how a Croatian World Cup hero ended up at Coventry City...for four days before buggering off to Real Madrid. #pusb
A great chat with Kev about my new book.
That Milan side formed the spine of the Italy side at USA ‘94 🇺🇸 and almost went on to win it.
As for Cruyff, he was almost in the dugout for The Netherlands too.
A final with so many stories to tell.
Had a great chat with @rob_fletcher_ @90s_writer for @SerieATotal about his recently released book The Final. When AC Milan defeated Barcelona's 'Dream Team' 4-0 in Athens. Lots of reminiscing for a man of my age 👴🏻

Does your dad love retro football? ⚽📖
A great Father’s Day gift for anyone who remembers the beautiful game just before Sky, when players won colour TVs, Saint & Greavsie ruled Saturday lunchtimes and anything seemed possible.

Preparing a nice "little" research (I'm lying... because I've covered 96 partnerships already) on great front-twos that rocked defenders and nets wherever they played.
You can suggest partnerships to add to the list. There are many, and it's impossible to remember every single one of them.
Will present the list once I feel like I've covered enough players to have a proper "best of"
A couple of 'house rules' - both players had to start / at least 10 games together / national team games only

🏆 The Final: In Pursuit of Greatness tells the incredible story of the last ever European Cup final before the Champions League overhaul. Barcelona’s ‘Dream Team’ clashed with Capello’s AC Milan in a match that defined an era, producing one of the most remarkable performances in European football history.

The 1994 #WorldCup in the USA was where football truly met entertainment. Hollywood glamour alongside football powerhouses.
These are some of the best things I love about the tournament, looking back at the madness of USA ‘94! 🇺🇸

I'm so glad that I brought these two excellent 90s football books with me on holiday.
I've already finished one and am now enjoying the other.
Both sincerely recommended; beautifully written by two people I really admire.
Thank you @90s_writer & @ricardo_chambo ❤️

The World Cup is coming up.
If only somebody had written a history of that fine tournament.

Such a well-written and researched book. The chapter structure is really cool too. Well done Rob.
If anyone out there has read The Final it would be great to see some reviews on Amazon.
And if you haven’t bought it yet, what better book to order on the eve of the #UCL final!

From the third tier back to La Liga it's been a hell of a ride for @RCDeportivo. In 2000 they won the league, in 2002 their second cup in a decade and in 2004 they were playing in the Champions League semis. Then all went wrong but they resurfaced and their story is in Pasión.
