#Celtics allow 39 in the 1st half after 41 on WED. Would've been the 4th-lowest 1st half points allowed total for them all of last season. Boston ranked 7th in defense entering tonight.

His shifted usage has given him the energy to become an elite defender again. It's part of the reason they brought in other scorers. They'll find better efficiency, but I think they'd take this defensive version of Embiid over running the offense exclusively through him

Sixers offensive issues in a nutshell: Embiid shifted usage and shot diet to accommodate new guys, and his scoring impact has collapsed as a result. Maxey is playing exactly the same way as always. Need better balance from both

I’ve heard from several NBA executives about this situation today. The general sentiment is that NBA games can be moved, but it’s extremely difficult two days in advance. There’s employees to schedule, tickets to sell, travel and player health to consider. A few weeks ago, it would have been a lot easier to move a game to Cleveland or from Thursday to Friday (creating back-to-backs for both teams). But last minute is very challenging.
