ALT The Texas 50 recognizes the top assistant high school football coaches in the state of Texas—individuals who are making a meaningful impact on their programs, their student-athletes, and their communities. This recognition reflects the quality of work taking place within your school and district. Selections were made by a committee of respected Texas football leaders, whose experience spans decades of success at the highest levels of the game: Scott Surratt, Head Coach, Carthage ISD Todd Dodge, Head Coach, Lovejoy ISD D.W. Rutledge, former Executive Director, Texas High School Coaches Association Dr. Charles Breithaupt, former Executive Director, University Interscholastic League (Chair) This group worked to identify assistant coaches across classifications 1A–6A who exemplify excellence in their role and contribute meaningfully to their programs and communities.
