It's that time of year again. Gonna be a hot time in Cherry Hill. Robert Englund's in the FLESH at Monster-Mania August 14, 15 & 16
Some summer viewing faves - Saura Lightfoot-Leon in THE AGENCY, and though I love Emmy Rossum and the versatile Scoot McNairy ... it is Quincy Tyler Bernstine that's giving the most fierce performance in FURIOUS.
On a recommendation from Jeff Dixon and Jim Cooper, my Curses bosses, I just discovered Predator: Killer of Killers. Superb graphic novel storyboards, anime influences, great action choreography and a kiss of Frazetta. So much fun! Wow!
Ran into two favorite actors: Steven Webber (Mick Garris's THE SHINING) and Titus Welliver (fan since DEADWOOD, love his canyon-dwelling LA detective Harry Bosch.) I was so flattered to see them at the American Cinematheque screening of my 1st movie, Buster and Billie.
Hope you've recovered from your Memorial Day barbecue and hangovers, 'cause Freddy wants to see you in Orlando. May 29, 30 and 31
On my way to Auckland Armageddon to meet my fans in the Paradise that is New Zealand. While I'm meeting and greeting, my wife Nancy will be seeking out the glow worms. ANZAC Weekend April 25-27
Due to all the discussion and controversy surrounding AI, now is a good time to watch/revisit THE ARTIFICE GIRL. Possibly the smartest recent film about the subject plus an outstanding cast.
My claw blades will glint in Lint! Heard that punk Jason is going to be at I ❤️ Horror, too. Freddy and Jason versus Belgium! March 21 and 22
Pub crawl with Freddy? Nah. But there will be some creepy crawlers and ME at Horrorfied March 28 and 29"
RIP Robert Duvall. Quite simply, one of our best American actors. I've been a fan since TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD thru Philip Kaufman's THE GREAT MINNESOTA RAID and TENDER MERCIES and everything in between and after. Thank you for your compelling talent.
Looks like Freddy K can hitchhike from Elm St to the Inland Empire, or at least take an uber to Ontario, CA for Creep I.E. Con January 30,31 and February 1.
