Robin Guards says it paid about 200 crypto influencers and sold only a few hundred NFTs
The NFT project says the influencers, with over 10 million combined followers, each posted about its $5 collection. Every one of them scored at least 400 on Sorsa, a tool that rates accounts by how many big crypto names follow them. Robin Guards says the result shows many paid promoters run on bought followers and fake engagement.
In an article published today, @RobinGuards shared screenshots that it says show influencers trading likes in group chats and a seller offering verified followers in bulk. It says the dispute started after an influencer accused the project of scamming, which it denies.

They ran into the deal like they hadn’t eaten in weeks, and every single one of them posted very positive things about us. But now, apparently, they have turned against us and are calling us “scammers” after how we found out they botted their posts, posts boosted by engagement-farming groups, identical AI-slop replies, and thousands of views within the first second of posting about our project.
Now, for the knowledge of all projects and crypto enthusiasts out there: block every single one of them. These people have no morality or influence, and they don’t even care what the project is about. All they care about is getting their free money for their slop and botted posts, and then leaving.
Just know this important sign of a “washed KOL”: they post about a project to their community, calling everyone to join and take a closer look at it, and then call it a scam. They simply contradict themselves and don’t care about their followers or community, because none of them are real, and every reply under their posts feels staged, like North Korean citizens meeting Kim Jong Un. They don’t care about anything but their 50 bucks per post.
Every one of them is simply a cancer to CT and to all crypto projects. Be smart and never let them farm you!
A real KOL with real influence will never post about a project if he or she isn’t sure about it.
