Rockfire Resources (@Rockfireplc, AIM:ROCK) – Maiden germanium resource at Molaoi delayed by several weeks.
Not because of a problem, but because recent drilling has found so many new zinc/germanium zones that the model needs a full re-interpretation. More than 1,360 individual lode intercepts in a ~2 km deposit is unusually high frequency.
A delay driven by more mineralisation is rarely bad news for a multi-lode system, especially one that could become only the second quoted Ge resource outside China — and the only one in the EU.

1/7 - Our maiden JORC #germanium resource estimate is now expected several weeks later than planned.
The reason is the number of new zones of mineralisation found in recent drilling, each of which has to be interpreted and modelled.

6/7 - Initial ore sorting tests with TOMRA, the Norwegian ore sorting firm, are complete.
They look at whether sorting before grinding could lift feed grade into the ball mill. Results will be announced when received and will inform the feasibility study planned for 2027.

7/7 - Still to come: HMO-022 assays, ore sorting results, drone magnetics interpretation and the maiden #germanium estimate.
