THE MORNING OF 1960: In 1960, the Nigeria handed to us by the colonialists was free, robust and full of promise. It was a true federation, with each of the three regions enjoying substantial autonomy and the room to grow as far as their creativity could carry them. Regions competed to stand out in development and advancement. Leaders were challenged to be intellectually adventurous and economically productive.
NIGERIA AT 66 - THE SCARS - THE HEALING I. II. THE SCARS But we lost it. Less than a decade into that visionary experiment, the federation collapsed and the unitary system was planted in our national consciousness. It strangled the regional competitive spirit and left one strongman at the center. The regions and subnationals, once proud farmers of their own fields, were reduced to beggars at the gate of the barn. Every leader since then tried, and failed, to restore the working order of the First Republic. Until now. III. THE HEALING When President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the reins of power, he came with a conviction: the order of the First Republic would be restored to our national awakening. We have returned to the era of fiscal federalism, where there is liquidity in the system and the subnationals have the resources to prosecute development. States that once owed months of salaries, paid half-wages and staggered workers' pay can now pay above the national minimum wage, clear pension backlogs and even guarantee a 13th month while developmental demands are being met. The beggars at the gate have become farmers again. It is the Tinubu New World Order. We have returned to the era where governance is not centered in Abuja alone, but lives in the states, in the local governments, in the communities, in the villages. Asiwaju restored local government autonomy so that the government closest to the people can truly serve those in the grassroots. It is the Tinubu New World Order. In the First Republic, our tertiary education was at its strongest, most progressive and most impactful. Foreigners queued at our university gates, as lecturers and as students. But the model we learnt from our colonial masters was destroyed along with the Republic that nurtured it. The child who is not taught will sell the family house. The Fourth Republic taught us that proverb the hard way. Decaying infrastructure and perennial strikes squandered the best years of our children, and a generation was left to sell its inheritance for want of instruction. Until now. Asiwaju has introduced an order in which our universities stay open and students have no valid reason to stay out of them. It is the Asiwaju New World Order. IV. THE SOUL OF A NATION Above all, Nigeria at independence was a nation of ideological honesty. Its leaders did not chase popularity at the expense of generational development. They governed with sincerity and never traded the future for instant applause. That was the golden era we lost with the fall of the Republic, and it is the same spirit Asiwaju has reawakened in our collective consciousness. A leader who feeds the crowd today and starves the children tomorrow is not a shepherd but a thief with a smile. Never again will the future of Nigerians, living and unborn, be gambled for political correctness. It is the Asiwaju New World Order. No matter how long we got it wrong, we are grateful to finally get it right. Happy Independence Day Nigeria. Good Morning Severally.

A man has been cohabiting with his girlfriend for about two years, and things were fine until his younger sister came to visit and has stayed for three weeks. Since then, his girlfriend has been complaining about almost everything. She asked his sister to help her cook a few times. He told her to stop, because they already have a maid and he did not think it was right to assign chores to a guest. She said he was siding with his sister, and that she was not in the house to be a slave. She also keeps saying she does not like people in her space. His sister is 29. His girlfriend is 27. He had been planning their introduction for next year, and now he is wondering if this is serious enough to reconsider. That's his complaint. Let just say a few things before I open the floor for everyone to contribute: It is serious enough to pause the introduction. A three-week visit should not turn the house into a daily fight. Telling her not to send a guest to cook was a reasonable boundary, and not you choosing your sister over her. Her discomfort with people in her space is fair if she was not properly told first, before the visit. Turning that into "you are siding with her" and "I am not a slave" is the part worth watching. Relatives will visit from time to time. And quite frankly, I am not pleased with your girlfriend's choice of words and attitude towards your sister (who is even her elder). Your planned introduction will not fix this. If I were you, I'll ask my girlfriend to leave my house, after my sister leaves. But your sister is not a fool. And do not expect her not to relay her experience in your house to your other siblings and parents. Let the visit end, you'll see that the resentment will leave with your sister. Your girlfriend doesn't have respect for your people. One bad three weeks is a warning. A pattern is an answer. AJD.

This is a myth bro. First, witches and Àjẹ́ are not the same. If what you meant by this post is àjẹ́, they don't invite people to join. Those who would join the Ìyàmi Àjẹ̀ already has it in them. It's like a potential energy, waiting to activate at the right time.
If you don’t practice witchcraft or belong to any occult group, don’t venture into kengbe akara business. Once you start frying it, especially at night, the witches will notice you and come to consult you. They will invite you to join their coven because they believe the oil, the fire, and the night sales give them access. If you refuse to join them, they won’t leave you alone. They will attack you spiritually, disturb your peace, scatter your sales, or afflict you and your household, no matter how prayerful or spiritually strong you think you are. That’s why some people insist this particular akara business is not for ordinary people.

This favored Sinner tweet like something I've been saying for ages. Who's Satan? Who's God? Both are just a side of the same coin. Ask yourself why has Satan not died since the time of creation? Depending on how you flip it, both are the same and one. Ire ooh
God is Satan himself, but hear me out before you shout blasphemy 😂. When you have a good thought, you might say God put it in your heart, but when you suddenly have a horrible thought, you attribute it to Satan. When you do something good, God used you. When you do something terrible, somehow it becomes the devil’s handiwork. I started wondering if the people who wrote the Bible did something similar. Maybe whenever something fitted the good image of God, they attributed it to God, but when something became difficult to reconcile with that image, Satan became the explanation. One example I genuinely can’t get past is David’s census. In 2 Samuel 24:1, God is angry with Israel and incites David to count Israel. But when the same story is told in 1 Chronicles 21:1, suddenly it is Satan who incites David to do it. So who actually did it? And it gets even more interesting when you keep reading. God tested Abraham by telling him to sacrifice his son. God hardened Pharaoh’s heart and then punished Egypt. 1 Samuel says a harmful spirit “from the LORD” tormented Saul. In 1 Kings 22, God permits a spirit to deceive Ahab through his prophets. Even in Job, Satan doesn’t behave like some rogue supernatural enemy that God is desperately trying to stop. He appears before God, discusses Job with him, gets permission to attack Job and is given a limit on what he can do. That’s why I’ve started wondering whether ancient people originally attributed both sides to God: the blessing and destruction, healing and killing, protection and testing. Then as the idea of a perfectly good God developed, the darker side needed another character to carry it. Maybe Satan isn’t another powerful being fighting against God at all. Maybe “Satan” became the explanation for the side of God that people couldn’t reconcile with the God they wanted to understand as completely good. Because if one part of the Bible can say “God did it” and another part can tell the same story and say “Satan did it”, I think asking whether we’ve actually separated one character into two is at least a fair question. God, was Satan you?

I have said what I believe. In 2023 I stood elsewhere. Three years later, I looked at the evidence, lived the pain of the reforms, and reached a different conclusion. Nigeria cannot stay frozen in the arguments of 2023 while 2027 is already asking for new decisions. Nigeria Forward 🇳🇬💚 | PBAT 2027 ♾️ thisdaylive.com/2026/09/29/o…

I hate when other men get punished for the sins of someone's father. Something probably went on between this woman and her father. Her mind is yearning to talk about it but she doesn't want to implicate herself in it. So, instead of saying "my father," she said "men."
This woman is very dangerous hear her speech 💬

Honestly it's only the poor that rushes to prove a point. Why would I wanna show my account balance to random strangers to prove I have N40m as my closing balance?

NELFUND is a haven of corruption. They are only giving students N20,000 each. Which government school takes N20,000 as annual school fees? All the money he wasted on her, if he had invested that money in his future, he'll not be broke today and in severe debt. Now that girl is cheating on him and has left him and has even refused to help him. Wetin toto water go do most of you stupid young men eeh.. I just pity your lives. AJD.

The Glory Ahead: A Message of Faith, Reform, and Hope for Nigeria at 66th Independence. My beloved Nigeria, Happy Independence Day. Today, I am filled with reflection, gratitude, hope, and an abiding faith in the destiny of our great nation. We have traveled a long road together through triumphs and trials, moments of pride and seasons of pain. Yet through it all, Nigeria stands. Not because our journey has been easy, but because the spirit of our people is stronger than any challenge that has confronted us. As I look toward the future, I can see the glory of development on the horizon. I can see a Nigeria rising. I can see the foundations being laid for a nation that works better, produces more, competes globally, and rewards the hard work of its citizens. The road may be difficult today, but great nations are not built by comfort; they are built by courage, sacrifice, patience, and faith. That is why I urge us all not to lose heart. Let us stay the course. Let us keep faith with the reforms and the difficult choices being made to reposition our country. Prosperity may not arrive overnight, but surely the day must come when it reaches the family table, creates jobs for our young people, expands opportunities for our entrepreneurs, strengthens our communities, and lifts millions of Nigerians upward into greater dignity and abundance. My appeal to every Nigerian is simple: love this country a little more. Be more patient with one another. Be more understanding of our differences. Be more committed to our common aspirations. Let us invest hope where others sow despair. Let us build bridges where others dig trenches. Let us remember that despite our many identities, we share one flag, one destiny, and one beloved homeland. As we approach another electoral season, my prayer is that Nigeria will be blessed with an issue-based campaign one focused on ideas, solutions, performance, and vision. Let us argue passionately but peacefully. Let us disagree without hatred. Let us demonstrate to the world that our democracy continues to mature and strengthen. I have made no secret of my support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the reform agenda he has championed. I believe history will judge this period not by today’s discomforts alone, but by the strength of the foundations being laid for tomorrow’s prosperity. Ultimately, the decision belongs to the Nigerian people, whose voices and votes remain the highest authority in our democracy. At the same time, we must continue preparing the next generation of leaders. Every great nation thinks beyond the present moment. We must nurture young men and women of character, competence, courage, and compassion who will inherit the responsibility of taking Nigeria even further. My faith in Nigeria has never wavered. I believe in our people. I believe in our possibilities. I believe in our future. And on this Independence Day, I say with conviction that Nigeria’s greatest chapter has not yet been written. The glory is ahead. The harvest is ahead. The prosperity is ahead. May God bless every Nigerian family. May God bless our democracy. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Happy Independence Day. Otunba Segun Showunmi The Alternative.
