Activists confronted former German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock at Sweden’s Uppsala University on Monday, accusing her of complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Baerbock was delivering the Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture, jointly hosted by the university and the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. Protesters challenged her remarks defending attacks on civilian infrastructure and Germany’s military support for Israel.
In October 2024, Baerbock argued that civilian sites could lose their protected status if abused by Hamas. Germany approved €485.1m—about $554m—in arms exports to Israel between October 2023, and May 2025.

If anyone wants further proof how totally crap our government are:
They say we need to be resilient, ready for emergency, prepared, for cyber attacks, natural disasters, yes?
In January the reliable, non internet, non computer, non satellite, almost bullet proof, non mains electrical copper wire analogue telephone system is being switched off and all land lines will then be digital.
Let that sink in.
Unlike digital services, the traditional landline network does not rely on mains electricity and continues to work in a power cut.
And working as such cannot be hacked, cyber attacked or taken out on a grand scale, during emergencies like power cuts in storms or even war.
So the government in their 'readiness 'and 'preparedness, are going to let this happen.
Think about it.
Our own government are removing one of the country's backbones to readiness, preparedness and resilience and defence in January, for good!
Hardwired copper landlines goes.
Resilience gone.
Network resilience to digital and cyber attacks gone.
Independence from satellites gone.
That is how our government are preparing for war.
WHY?
IT MAKES NO SENSE.
And all done rather on the quiet.

I caught myself watching this video over and over for several minutes, unable to look away.
I live inside this destruction, yet seeing it from above left me in shock.
All I could think about was how many bombs had fallen on us. I remembered the nights when I was so exhausted that I would cover my ears just to fall asleep through the deafening explosions.

This morning, Israeli occupation forces raided Palestinian land in Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank, demolished properties, and poured cement into a Palestinian farmers’ soak pit that Israel had earlier claimed was a tunnel “25 meters deep” with weapons and military equipment inside.
On September 24, Israeli forces stormed the same land and presented the pit as a major discovery of an “attempted operation to target Israeli settlements nearby.” The Palestinian landowners rejected the tunnel claim and showed that Israeli forces had framed a soak pit as a tunnel.
The Israeli account then fell apart, as reports from the Israeli police and the army contradicted each other, with the army saying it had found only two openings at depths of 12 and 6 meters, with no extended tunnel route or infiltration in the area. Israel ended up closing the case completely.
