That statement is her being dismissive of the crazy things that women go through in pregnancy.
Some women have lost their limbs because they brought a life into this world. Some went blind.
Some did C section and never got to see their baby. I had seizures that made me unconscious and lost my ability to speak for almost 2 days.
Mummy zee constantly talks down on women as if it’s not the same genital parts she has with us. You don’t have to be a “girls girls” but talk like someone that has sense when it comes to matters that involve women.

People die in road accidents, a very high number, even. It doesn't make driving a death sentence. People slump in their houses. Some die in their sleep. Will these people say that living is a death sentence?
The maternal mortality rate in Nigeria is high. If women were to talk about their pregnancy experiences, a lot of them would have scary things to say.
Is pregnancy risky? Yes, it could be very risky, depending on the circumstances.
Could pregnancy and childbirth be safer? Absolutely. Take antenatal seriously. Listen to your doctors. Space your children. Try to eat a balanced nutrition. If you have any underlying ailment like high bp or diabetes, take extra care. Listen to your body - if something doesn't feel right, report it.
The medical practitioners also have a duty to make pregnancy and childbirth safer. If a woman complains often, it doesn't mean she is lazy. Also, you people should find a solution to hyperemesis gravidum because that shii will make you feel like vomiting your baby.
Having said that, people have feelings, and their feelings are valid. I also have had a pregnancy so unpleasant that it is not something I look forward to. Will I advise people not to get pregnant because of that? Absolutely not.
I pray all pregnant women get all the support they need and deliver safely. I hope that someday, our healthcare system improves.
