This has been happening for years, that’s why many don’t use the “shelves” provided for mobile orders (McD included). You have to ask at the front counter for your order. It’s called the Meal Lottery, you grab a bag hoping not to get caught, not knowing what you’re getting, and walk out. It was a bad idea even in the concept phase, which I was a part of. You really need lockers, not shelves. Luckily, lockers were just introduced in the US market recently (Asia has had them for a while). Link in comments 👇:

This stat of 25% is from 2014. Maybe this is true in densely populated Catholic areas but unsure if it’s still a nationwide average. I ran some of my numbers from last year and I’m seeing that I sell about 16% of Fish during Lent, but remember, Lent makes up 11% of the year so doubling your fish sales due to all the promotional messaging gets you close to 25%.

It’s always funny to see what word the media latches onto after a @McDonalds earnings call. Today’s buzzword: “low income.” We’ve been talking about the bifurcation in the economy for over a year now, customers under $45K are feeling the squeeze, while those making $100K+ are visiting more often. Back in August 2024, we launched the $5 meal to give folks with tighter budgets some relief. We saw the numbers firsthand. Now suddenly, people think McDonald’s has some wild AI tech that scans your income when you order and tracks you home. News flash: we’ve been using sales data, zip codes, and third-party info for decades to understand our customers. Even government officials ask us for insights on consumer trends, think about that. So no, we’re not watching you. We just read the data. (…or are we 👀)

Yes, the @realDonaldTrump is going to Feasterville, PA. I see nothing wrong with it. Personally speaking, our doors are always open to the community. It’s Americana. I would open the door for either Presidential candidate. Former President Clinton went to a @McDonalds last week. I thought it was great (and deja vu). @KamalaHarris is also a fan of the brand. We are here for everyone, no matter your race, religion or politics. Instead of having an issue divide us, let’s just all agree that a Big Mac made with quarter pounder patties is the best sandwich in QSR.
