This is important. Give more rewards to NFT holders. Especially tokenized rewards. But don’t make it impossible for others to join and have fun. The money spent by the enjoyers can be used to bolster the web3 economy in different ways based on economic advances in the space. Running home to try the new Ragmon build.

Currently sitting at Rank 250 in @RagmonNFT. Mostly play during idle time or when in the bathroom. 🚽 I am not using ANY NFT Ragmons currently. During this 1-week CBT, the Ragmon team made it easy for everyone to acquire and level up off-chain Ragmons. Once game goes global launch, that won’t be the case and NFT Ragmons become very important. Still—this beta test exercise does prove that with a lot of dedication + skill, f2p can grind and hang; but this is where NFT rental or scholarships can come into play as well. Long-term, I am excited for the future of Ragmon. Web3 folk keep saying “we need fun games” Well, here ya go. 🫵 A fun game. Now try it and talk about it so we can onboard moar people into web3. ❤️ So far in just 1 day, over 100,000 battles already clocked in. Stop sleeping! 😴 Oh—and yes there are REWARDS too. 💰💰💰 - Genesis Tamer ($3,000 floor) - 2,500 RON token prize pool - Many Mythic Boxes and Ragmon NFTs Up for grabs. Free to play. No whitelists. Clash Royale type game. Available in iOS Testflight and Android on ragmon dot gg. Let’s PLAY!!! 🎮

Met up with this beast in Kyoto, exactly a year from when it all began. Discussed doubling down on success. Hiring. Chapter 2 and the path ahead for it. The next frontier of experiments in web3 gaming. Tons of confidence in this team to keep pushing and leading from the front. @whatslukedoing

Holy fck.. @Ronin_Network has bagged a great game in @LumiterraGame I need to figure out where to start this game review.. This game is complete, I don't know if there's a web3 game that can compete with this. 1. Monster Battles Even the starter monsters are hard to kill, which I greatly appreciate. you have to have at least the basic mechanics of attacking and dodging to defeat them. oh.. and those pesky level 1 monsters have skills you must watch out for! The drop rate is brutal as well, to collect 10 wire mesh, I had to kill close to 50 monsters. 2. Farming This adds another layer to the gameplay, crafting gears requires monster drops and farmed items. I like that I can do farming on the side when I feel exhausted battling monsters. but make no mistake of thinking that farming is boring in this game, it requires focus otherwise crops are wasted. 3. Social This is often overlooked in web3 games, but most who play MMORPG love interacting with other players. And this game didn't fall short on that aspect. It has a working world chat and a regional chat. I don't know if friends can be added and form a guild in this game, but I am pretty sure they will add that function later if they haven't already. Others: 1. Quests This game delivered on that aspect as well, there's so many quests that players will never run out of things to do. There are separate quests for Combat, Farming, and Gathering. It can be Token, Normal, Daily, and Bounty Tasks. 2. Skill System I am not well versed yet in this area, hence I have not written anything for this yet. but, the skill system looks deep a lot of builds can be formed I have to play more to talk about it confidently. 3. PVP There are different Arena for different player levels but unfortunately same as the skill system I am not familiar with them so I have to get back to you guys on this one in the future.

So I've seen a lot of takes on hiring crypto vs. non-crypto natives lately (ht: @QwQiao, @rargulati, @mdudas, etc.) and I think it drives home a couple of key points I already believe, so here is some advice for companies in the crypto space trying to hire outside and for companies outside the crypto space trying to get in: 1 - Your best employees in this space need to be committed to blockchain and crypto tech in general. Being "native" or not doesn't matter, but you don't want people there for a quick buck who will bounce when things get hard. However... 2 - Your best employees will also not be single-purpose natives. Either from crypto or from web2. Fundamentally, building good products in this space is a multi-disciplinary exercise, and people who come from a single discipline are usually the ones building things that do not scale / do not work / do not have PMF because they don't understand what needs to be done. This creates quite the pickle, as you can see, which is why I think people are fighting about this. Your best employees are committed to crypto, but likely did not start in crypto and have deep experience elsewhere, and understand multiple disciplines. Those people are hard to find, expensive, and have lots of options, so to get them, you have to treat them well, compensate them well, and have a thing they genuinely want to work on. However, not doing that? It leads to blockchain engineers who have never worked in payments trying to build payments apps, which works about as well as bankers who don't know how to code trying to build a blockchain. This is why it's hard and, in my view, why so many crypto products are vaporware: you are doing a multi-disciplinary thing, and a defining characteristic of the industry so far has been pig-headed arrogance about the discipline a particular person has come from (crypto native, web2 tech, tradfi, etc.) being best and the other, lesser disciplines all being filled with morons. Therefore, if you truly want to be successful hiring for any project that is not purely internal to crypto (e.g. expands the space, or even just keeps it flat), here is the playbook: 1 - You need people committed to the space 2 - You need a team with backgrounds from multiple disciplines 3 - You need all of those people to respect the experience of the other people and to listen to each other By definition you cannot get that hiring only crypto natives, only tradfi natives, etc. And it will be hard for you, the leader, as you'll have to defer to others who know more than you in specific areas. Nobody said this would be easy.

YOUR PRIORITIES AND NEEDS ARE NOT THE SAME AS OTHER PEOPLE'S There are people in the Philippines for example, who would be grateful earning $5-$10 for the week by playing crypto games. To someone well off, or to someone in another country with higher cost of living, $5 may be nothing and "not worth it". But to some, it could be a life raft. During the pandemic, Axie Infinity was the life raft for many people in my country. I know this to be true for other countries as well in LatAm, SEA, and Africa. To this day, there are crypto / web3 games that are providing opportunities for people across the globe. What's NOTHING to you, can be LIFE CHANGING for someone. Don't generalize and act like your situation is everyone else's. Is p2e gaming perfect? Heck no. Does it need some work, evolving, studying, fine tuning, revamping? Yup, for sure. But really, what's the point in being in this space if you don't believe in ownership and 'magic internet money', as how most people tend to call it? You know, the idea of maybe getting rewarded for your time and skills, while having fun? Being able to help make your life better by gaming. Cause maybe that's the only thing you can do right now. Maybe the job market isn't favorable where you're at. And that should be fine. Why are we shaming these people? Is the play just to get a sponsorship from the very games you mock and laugh at? The players of those games you belittle? How about we think of solutions and open up our minds to the power of blockchain technology and the potential of this revolution— ~Rather than thinking small and pissing on the very industry you walk in. Sick and tired of seeing entitled hot takes in my timeline. Empathy can go a long way, you know. Think about other people instead of just thinking about yourself and your goddamn bags, and maybe, just maybe, you'll understand exactly what's going on and the potential this space truly has. 🫳 🎙️ ---- And no, this post is not targeted to any individual. This is my take based on the collective garbage I've been seeing on Twitter against web3 games, "bots vs real players", "low value players from SEA", and the unreasonable shaming for people who take profit or literally playing to earn.
