It’s nice to see that Griffin Johnson could make it to Saratoga a couple of weeks after he canceled on being the guest of honor at the Old Friends at Cabin Creek fundraiser with about two days’ notice and through one of his representatives.

Two years ago I started working at Captain D's Seafood. We had an elderly customer come in who was a veteran. He became a regular and someone we counted on to brighten our days. He was always such a nice and funny man and always knew how to make us laugh. Quickly, many of us began to grow close to him. We learned that he had served over 20 years in the military and his wife had recently died from cancer. His son is active in the marines as well. Each time he came in we would talk to him and he would always ask us how life was or what our plans were or how our day was. This man hasn't been simply kind, he has been supportive, there for all of us. He always made us laugh. I graduated Friday night. He surprised me and showed up in a suit, all dressed up! He stood there and got so proud when they called my name. I'm leaving for college in a few days and we said our goodbyes and he handed me one hundred dollars... and refused to take any back. So I guess the moral of my story is this: no matter how big or how small your job is, there is always someone watching. Someone who will care. Someone who will support you. Or listen. Always be nice. Always be kind. You never know.

This is Captain Yuval, an infantry commander in the Nahal Brigade. On Saturday morning, as soon as she heard about the horrors taking place, she ran out of her home with her gun in her pajamas.
She reports there were dead bodies all over the road, and that at some point, a group of terrorists on motorcycles drive towards her, and she empties a whole magazine on them killing two. She's calling her boss Colonel Steinberg, but he's been killed. Same with other commanders she tries reaching - all gone.
She located Captain Ron, and together they understand that only they are left to conduct this battle. They find a friend's house nearby, open up a war room, and begin directing the forces on the ground. Before most of us even woke up and understood what is happening, these two young captains were directing commandos and fighter pilots, and eliminated 22 terrorists, preventing them from taking control of two outposts. In their pajamas.
They are still out there fighting. We are in good hands!

I had to repost this 🙏
“Thursday night, I was sitting in my garage smoking a cigarette. Horrible habit, I know. 4 young men rushed me, decided they wanted my car, beat me up, and wanted my keys. I told them the keys were in the house. They decided to go in. What they weren’t expecting were my two 80lb Pit Bulls. They are sweethearts and the kindest dogs you’ll ever know, but protect their home and owner with finesse. My beautiful babies charged these thieves and stood over me as I laid on the floor of my garage, forever protecting me. They are rescues. Unwanted dogs. They saved my life. Please consider adopting a rescue. They might save your life too.”
