The Golden State Valkyries celebrated their historic WNBA championship with a parade through downtown San Francisco on Wednesday, where fans lined the streets to greet the newly crowned champions.
Trophy in hand, Gabby Williams danced her way through the festivities. Kiah Stokes popped champagne and took a swig, while Veronica Burton high-fived fans pressed against the barricades. Aboard the parade bus, players snapped Polaroids of the crowd and tossed beads to fans below.
The celebration came just days after Golden State defeated the Atlanta Dream on Halloween night, securing the franchise’s first WNBA title in just its second season.
The parade kicked off at noon near the Ferry Building, with a route ending at Second and King streets.
