After two years of work, I can FINALLY announce my newest project with @StevenBartlett: @Flightcast_
Upload video podcasts to YouTube & Spotify + Audio everywhere else
Get all your video + audio analytics in one place
Then analyze your data with an AI assistant
a very close friend of mine, @aadilpickle, has spent the past year writing pieces on the amazing people he meets
i was honored last month when he asked if he could write about me
he knows me better than most, and wrote a very kind and honest piece about me
worth a read :)
I spent a week with Rox Codes (yes that's a made up name). His past lives include:
- being MrBeast's "software guy"
- building the first automated clipping software and Youtube thumbnail testing before Youtube
- accidentally becoming a famous Twitch streamer after streaming himself coding as an productivity hack
- travelling the world as an indie hacker with Peter Levels and friends
Now he's the CEO of Flightcast, a podcast hosting software company. I couldn't think of anything more boring to work on, but he seems to love it. Getting to be the best at something, to invent when your competitors are dinosaurs, and to build for people you care about is it's own satisfaction.
I wrote for @sfalexandria_ about how he's the best salesman I know, how he deals with sadness, and what keeps him going.

Signed the biggest customer of my life 😄

Subhash Ramesh (@subby_tech) is, genuinely, the kindest person I have ever met. And it's not even close.
It is fundamental to who he is
I have always prided myself on being kind - it's the #1 thing I strive to be in my life
Meeting Subby made me realize I had not even begun that journey. To this day, I'm not 1/10th the man he is.
He would give you the shirt off his back, and days of his time, and you would believe it cost him nothing. You'd believe it was no burden at all.
He has a sort of infinite brightness that truly can't be explained or measured. And it's all just natural for him. It is truly, deeply, just who he is.
I had never met anyone like him prior, nor anyone like him since, and I don't think I ever will.
If there is a single person in this world that deserves to succeed, it's Subby.
I loved reading this.
It's written in a way only @aadilpickle could express.
I teared up a lot reading it - remembering how it felt to be in SF surrounded by friends like Subby.
If you have 5 minutes today, read this writeup. I promise you will feel inspired - you will understand at a level I never thought possible, what it truly means to be kind
I spent 3 years with Subhash Ramesh. He's the most earnest and hardworking person I know, yet flies under the radar because he's so humble.
He has a habit of making something incredibly technically difficult, and jamming it into a silly product that pays his rent.
Like Galiboo, an AI music tagger he made in college that he licensed to a record company for $15,000/month.
It's his character that takes him far though. He started working on a startup 2 months ago, and closed a pre-revenue angel check for $20k in 20 minutes.
He hasn't had to pay for office space in 3 years because people want him around so much. He calls his mom every day, and drives his friends home every night.
In a city where everyone's so obsessed with themselves and "making it", @subby_tech is the kind of guy who brings everyone up with him. It makes people want to do everything they can to help him win.
I wrote about why him being a great guy is an early signal of being a great founder for @sfalexandria_.
