Just posted on @ChemRxiv - a collaboration with the great @URochesterChem @MatsonLab, we use #THz spectroscopy to help reveal bonding information for heavy element (uranium) complexes. A great team effort and new direction for our group!

This is a cool one! We realize that thermally-initiated solid-state reactions are driven by terahertz phonons. Love how straightforward and clean this story is - the paper basically wrote itself! Much more soon! @ItsBenPartridge @URochesterChem @ChemRxiv

This paper is very cool - might be the coolest result of my career. We bent a flexible crystal, did some low-frequency confocal spectroscopy, and directly visualized intermolecular strain spectroscopically. @UofR @ChemRxiv @LucaCataz @URochesterChem
