I'm still combing through this MSG '91 run. Here's Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower opening the second set on Night 3, with Branford Marsalis on saxophone. It was the first time Marsalis played an entire show with the Grateful Dead. He'd do it again three years later at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles.

This week in 1988, the Dead lit up the Laguna Seca raceway during a three-day stint featuring opening sets by Los Lobos, El Rayo-X, and David Lindley. The final show date would witness Jerry joining in on an encore with Los Lobos as well as the last rendition of “Gentleman, Start Your Engines,” a fitting tune for the scene, and a rarity as it was only played once previously at Civic Arena, Pittsburgh, PA, on June 26, 1988. Whether you love or hate Phish, whether you think Sphere is stupid or the coolest thing ever... You have to admit this technology is some of the craziest shit humans have ever concocted. When CK5 syncs the room with the riff at 0:38🔥🤯

Glorious! Crosseyed is such a crowd pleaser... the times I've seen it the audience literally loses their shit as if Phish hasn't played it for 20 years. It's hilarious and awesome every time!
