Run To Remember LA

Even some four-legged friends stopped by to cheer on the participants at Run to Remember Los Angeles! Thanks to all of our supporters for showing up for firefighters, law enforcement and military personnel, on race day and every day.

Today is the birthday of President John F. Kennedy, who in 1962 proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day. At events like @RunToRememberLA, thousands pay tribute to fallen law enforcement officers. Their service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we, like Joshua Schlener, give HUGE thanks to all military personnel and first responders who keep our communities and country safe. We especially honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us. We will not forget. #honorthefallen

Cory, Colton and Camden McEnroe cross the finish line hand-in-hand at @RuntoRememberLA. Adults, children, law enforcement, first responders and military personnel were among the thousands of runners paying tribute to fallen heroes. #honorthefallen

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day. Today we commemorate the 21,000-plus peace officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty throughout U.S. history. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. #PeaceOfficersMemorialDay

Today begins National Police Week, when law enforcement, their families and supporters gather to honor the fallen. Each year, we run to remember the men, women and K-9s who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities. We will never forget. #NationalPoliceWeek

Brandye Smith of Los Angeles went patriotic in her outfit for her half-marathon @RunToRememberLA run. She was among 6,000 runners who paid tribute to fallen first responders last month. Thank you, officers, firefighters and active duty military personnel, for all that you do!

Today the names of the 10 heroes who died in the line of duty last year were added to the California Peace Officers’ Memorial in Sacramento. Please join us in giving thanks for their service and sacrifice and honoring those they left behind. We will never forget.
