Weingaten is not a mere teachers union president. AFT, her union, is also with AFL-CIO, which operates one of the four “soft power” grantees of National Endowment for Democracy (NED) which @MikeBenzCyber has repeatedly emphasized serves the same functions as CIA. Ordinarily, this might be a coincidence, but she’s also on the board of the National Democratic Institute, which is another of the four NED grantees. Dig into her history just a bit and you’ll find she’s been adjacent to color revolutions and regime change all over the world.

Facebook’s products “harm children… and the company’s leadership knows how to make [them] safer but won’t make the necessary changes.” These were Frances Haugen’s words five years ago today in her 2021 congressional testimony.
The tens of thousands of pages of internal documents she brought out — with the help of @JeffHorwitz — opened the vault and gave the world its first real look at how Meta operates and at what they (and the other social media companies) were doing to kids and teens.
One of these documents revealed an internal Facebook study — covering thousands of teens from Brazil, India, Indonesia, Japan, Turkey, and the United States. The researchers described the qualitative part of their study like this: “Teens blame Instagram for increases in the rate of anxiety and depression […] This reaction was unprompted and consistent across all groups.”
Haugen’s revelations five years ago empowered survivor parents, attorneys general, and legislators to hold Big Tech accountable for their actions. 2026 would not have been such a turning point year if not for Haugen. I’m glad more people will learn her story through “The Social Reckoning.” Her bravery changed the world for the better and should inspire us all to do more to protect kids from addictive and untested technologies.
We owe Frances Haugen an immense debt of gratitude.

A new piece in the Financial Times created a great visualization of the results from this study.
TL;DR: Rent control helps people whose rents get limited, but it hurts everyone else. It pushes up rents, pushes down new building, and makes cities worse.
It is horrible policy.

Exactly. Structured activities can be great, but kids also need time that belongs to them...to negotiate, invent the rules, follow their own interests, and figure out how to play together without an adult directing every step.

*Consumer prices today are 27.2 percent higher than they were in January 2021.
*Something that cost $100 when Biden took office now costs about $127.
*Biden bears the lion’s share of the blame for that cumulative increase.
*The consumer price index rose 21.4 percent from January 2021 to January 2025 (Biden’s term), while it has risen just 4.8 percent since Trump took office.
*In other words, of that $27 in rising costs, about $21 came on Biden’s watch.

The statue of Prometheus is finally finished.
It was cast in Paris, crossed the Atlantic, and was assembled at Starbase. It took us 100 days to go from nothing to this.
People of the West, we have lived through an era devoid of dreams, devoid of destiny.
But the time has come to reclaim our dream of antiquity.
In a few months, we will start building a new city. It will be the most magnificent city in all of history.
After all, the great dream of the West has always been to rebuild Rome.
Come walk beside us in this endeavor. The world is waiting.

The average American graduates school without ever having heard the word “Usury,” and that isn’t an accident.
Ignorance is the objective.
If people can’t even name the problem they certainly can’t fight the system built around it.

🚨HUGE: Democracy Restored mapped the network behind a years-long lawfare campaign targeting conservative lawyers with bar complaints and related filings.
181 actions. 34 jurisdictions in 26 states. Millions in documented funding. And a network of organizations REPEATEDLY targeting many of the same attorneys.
One architect said the goal was to “shame them and make them toxic,” weaponizing the law to ruin reputations and careers. Attorneys should not be punished for their work by partisan ideologues with an axe to grind.
The overall goal is to make lawyers hesitate to take on conservative clients and issues, leaving Americans with fewer options for legal representation.

The tyrannical, theofascist mullahs of Iran have literally launched an information campaign encouraging Americans to "Vote Democrat" in the upcoming midterms.
In a ~25-page letter to the American people, the mullahs tell Americans they can “change the makeup of the government,” to “remove from power the evil, deceitful, and violent politicians who are responsible for America’s current state,” and to “take back control.”
But hey Doomers, be sure to stay home and not vote because Trump only fulfilled 80% of your wildest hopes and dreams.
The mullahs who want a nuclear bomb so they can end your life and the lives of every other American are totally down with your plan.

The Fed’s balance sheet has grown 693% in 20 years, while the U.S. economy grew about 2% a year. Money creation far outpacing economic growth fuels inflation. The fundamental problem isn’t “capitalist greed.” It’s creating money without creating wealth.
