Minister of Interior @Vbiruta stressed the importance of a proactive police force that anticipates potential threats and prevents them, rather than simply investigating incidents after they have occurred. He urged the newly graduated officers to uphold discipline, professionalism, and dedication, put citizens’ needs first, and work hand in hand with other security organs to protect Rwandans’ well being and preserve national pride.

The Commandant of Gishari Police Training School, CP R. Mujiji, commended the graduates for the enthusiasm, discipline, and commitment they demonstrated throughout their training. He reminded them that completing the course marked only the beginning of their professional journey, as they would continue to undergo various training programmes throughout their service in the Rwanda National Police to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and capacity to effectively discharge their duties. He concluded by urging them to uphold integrity, avoid any conduct that could tarnish the reputation of the Force, and remain committed to the values of the Rwanda National Police wherever they are deployed.

The Minister of Interior, @Vbiruta, is shortly expected to officiate the pass-out ceremony for the 22nd intake of the Basic Police Course. The ceremony will be preceded by demonstrations in public order management, shooting drills, self-defence techniques and parade.
