Nyagatare: Minister of State @zimuyenzi visited various infrastructure projects, including the ongoing construction of the Muvumba Multipurpose Water Resources Development Program. Construction works on the Muvumba Multipurpose Dam have reached 69% completion. The project is expected to play a significant role in advancing infrastructure development and supporting economic activities. In addition to providing water for irrigation, the project includes the construction of a water treatment plant with a planned capacity of 50,000 cubic metres per day. Under the first phase, the plant will initially produce 25,000 cubic metres of treated water per day, with capacity to be progressively expanded. The Muvumba Multipurpose Project will also generate electricity, contributing to increased access to energy and supporting socio-economic development in the region. Minister of State @zimuyenzi also visited the ongoing construction of the Nyagatare Substation, which is currently 85% complete.
