Check out this nifty tool created by @observinthecity for poll-by-poll, analysis of the 2026 Toronto Municipal Election I really like what happened in Scarborough—Centre's Poll 8; my old stomping grounds Apartment-dense poll (public & private) w/ mid-century townhomes #TOpoli

I've started comparing the results at some specific polls across Toronto & I'm noticing patters. Olivia Chow & her team made some serious bets and they seem to have paid off BIG. I'm no expert on election data, but what I'm seeing is very encouraging. More to come. #Topoli

There's much to be learned from Braeden Chow's campaign. Financial disclosure hasn't happened yet, but it's widely belevied he spent next to nothing on the election. Yet he won nearly as much support as Brad Bradford won after a $777,026 spend 2023: 8102 votes vs. 9254 votes.🧵
Olivia Chow won a decisive victory to hold on to her job as Toronto's mayor for another term, but a third-place finisher who got thousands of votes in the municipal race is prompting questions around whether there was confusion at the polls. #ToPoli cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/t…

His concession speech was as performative as the entirety of his term on Council. #TOpoli

Crazy how during this entire election cycle, he never once denounced the racist attacks his voters hurled at Chow all election cycle and she never brought it up once.

I will be taking a close look @ the poll-by-poll results after the results are certified If we can glean an elevated likelihood that there was an uptick in tenant turnout (which I generally suspect), then I should sit down w/ other organizers to discuss future strategy #TOpoli

My sincere congratulations to @oliviachow on her decisive victory tonight (and her graciousness in that victory). I'm excited about what the next four years have in store! I'll have more to say regarding the local races tomorrow; going to get some rest for now. #TOpoli
Tonight, the people of Toronto have spoken. And you have given me the extraordinary honour of continuing to serve as your mayor. I am grateful. I am humbled. And I am so proud of our city.

By every measure, Alejandra Bravo is the superior Candidate for Davenport. She will be re-elected tonight by a significant margin, and rightfully so. It's not even close to me. I've met her numerous times. Her character and commitment are stunning. #TOPoli @DavenportBravo

My mayors choice was different but for my ward we need change and Davenport needs to elect @MarcoM_Ward9 🗳️

"yep, that's me, you're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation..." As tempting as Gong's case was, I opted to vote for Oliva Chow (Mayoral Candidate #9) at the advance polls. I encourage everyone to do the same today. 😅👍🏾 #TOpoli

Diana Chan McNally. Choose her today Parkdale-High Park. She's the candidate who's fighting for Toronto when there is an election or there is not an election. That's the difference. @DianaCMcNally

Well said.
I'll be voting for Olivia Chow in Toronto's mayoral election tomorrow. I'm not a leftist or progressive, but i appreciate the work she's done to make the city better. Crime is at its lowest in years, my kids love all the new parks that have been built, she pulled off a flawless World Cup... Importantly, she does not hesitate to empathize with suffering, desperate people, whether here or abroad. I suspect much of the vitriol against her is because she calls a spade a spade, and I applaud her for it. Too often this city alternates between clueless leftists and ruthless right wing opportunists. Olivia Chow is something different, more like the quiet, hardworking, competent families that make up the backbone of this city.

McKelvie was kept on as Deputy Mayor as a way to maintain the peace following Tory's shameful departure from council. McKelvie and Bradford were being lobbied by PortsToronto and Nieuport Aviation (the airport operator & terminal owner) re the Toronto Island Airport. #TOpoli
Federal Liberal MP Jennifer McKelvie was the deputy mayor of Toronto under Olivia Chow. After working closely with Chow, McKelvie is endorsing Brad Bradford. Tells you something.

So, yeah. McKelvie was no friend of progressives or Chow. McKelvie wasn't a Chow ally in even the remotest sense. Brian, it's getting pathetic.

It's quite the interesting thing people like Brian Lilley can craft narratives out of absolutely nothing. See also how the Star's non-endorsement of anyone is an endorsement of Bradford

Several years ago, when I was a journalism student at Seneca College, I interviewed @PasternakTO during a community event @ a Jewish Community Centre; his Ward. I remember the looks; I felt so unwelcome. The interview was exhausting. He didn't smile at me once. I know why now.

There's a very distinct type of sorrow images like these bring in light of the circumstances the persons pictured seem to have found themselves in. Breaks my heart. Lord, guide them. #TOpoli

Mark, The Toronto Star's editorial board and its many journalists are not the same entity. I'd add that the editorial board is not the same as the paper's current owner. You know as well as anyone else that the star of today is not the stsr of old. Nice try though... #TOpoli
