This is extremely worrying — Miller is the architect of the anti-immigration 'crackdowns' around the country last year and at the start of this year. ICE has continued to act, but they've lacked manpower without CBP officers / Border Patrol agents.

I don't even know how to interpret these numbers. House races in Florida that were R+15 in 2024 are neck and neck. Either Florida is having some mirage like 2018 or it's a bellwether for total annihilation by Dems

Poll monitors stood quietly on sidewalks for 1-2 hours this morning outside Virginia Beach polling locations, volunteers and local officials tell me. They left from these locations between 9 and 10 a.m. Many of the locations are in majority-minority neighborhoods, I'm seeing.

The practice is routine for the DOJ, though it's the first time monitors have been in Virginia Beach, said city elections board chairman Nanette Miller. The monitors are not authorized to be within 40 feet of polling places in Virginia, and the DOJ is aware, Miller said.

Kiggans voters, on the other hand, most frequently expressed rhetorical and policy fatigue. 78-year-old Craig Baker from Wachapreague, Va., a tiny farm-and-fishing town on the Eastern Shore, is one such voter. "I think the system works fine as it is," he told me.
