Spending another kshs 50 billion on HMIS after just spending kshs 104 billion on SHA is economic sabotage by the government.
UDA spends public money as if Kenyans wake up everyday just to go make money for Ruto to waste.
In 2027, we must stop this madness.

William Ruto should be eternally grateful for serving a one term presidency despite the fact that his government lost the will of the people on 24th June 2024 . A good leader should listen to the voice of his people and retreat to stategise.

Something smells fishy in Lamu..stolen land? and no transparencyโฆvictimizing a foreign Nigerian billionaire while silencing Kenyans asking about public money and processes:
Kenya broke ground on the $16bn Dangote refinery in Lamu on 30 Sept. Five days earlier, a court had ordered the "status quo" kept on that same land.
What is promised, what is alleged, and which legal questions are still open:
๐ WHAT THE COURT DID
The Environment and Land Court in Malindi did NOT stop the ceremony. It ordered the status quo on LR No. 13061 until a hearing on 14 Oct.
Status quo order = keep things as they are until both sides are heard. Breaching it can be contempt of court.
The two sides read it differently: the residents' lawyer says no construction before 14 Oct. Dangote Group says the ceremony was not halted, though some site work may be affected.
๐ WHAT 133 RESIDENTS ALLEGE
Families on the land for generations, with homes, mosques, shrines and graves, but no title deeds.
Bulldozers entered in Aug 2024. Police and chiefs cleared a parcel on 10 Sept 2026. They say they only learnt around 20 Sept that a compulsory acquisition had begun, and that it targets absentee title holders, not the people living there.
None of this has been tested in court yet.
๐ WHY THE SEQUENCE MATTERS
Compulsory acquisition = the State taking land for a public purpose.
Art 40 of the Constitution and the Land Act require notice, a hearing for those affected, an award and PAYMENT before the State takes possession.
Art 40(4) also allows compensation for good-faith occupiers without a title deed.
The open question: if acquisition began in Sept 2026, on what legal basis was land cleared before that?
๐ ENVIRONMENT
EMCA section 58 requires an environmental impact assessment (EIA) licence before a project like this begins.
@Greenpeaceafric alleges commitments were made before any assessment. I could not confirm from public sources whether a licence has been issued.
Lamu has precedent: the coal plant licence was cancelled in 2019 over a flawed assessment, upheld by the Malindi court in Oct 2025.
๐ฐ PUBLIC MONEY AND LAND
Kenya may take up to a 10% stake, using the National Infrastructure Fund and state assets including land.
Senator Sifuna says senators have not seen the agreement.
Art 35 (access to information) and Art 201 (openness in public finance) apply. Tax breaks, guarantees and the land valuation have not been published.
๐ THE SHARE PROMISE
Kenyans are told they can buy shares through the NSE. I have found no approved offer document. One route reported is depositary receipts over the NIGERIAN refinery, which is not the Lamu plant.
A public offer needs Capital Markets Authority approval and a prospectus.
๐๏ธ THE OTHER SIDE
Government: energy security, about 60,000 jobs, Kenya's largest foreign investment, and land to be handled "lawfully and fairly".
Dangote: government dealt with compensation, court challenges are normal, the project goes on.
Some local leaders support it while asking for real community involvement.
๐๏ธ NEXT
Hearing on 14 Oct 2026. The court has made no finding on the merits. The question is whether the land was taken and the works begun the way the law requires.
