Now I'm not saying Treasury is sending secret messages through ship names. The official record confirms the sanctions removals, not any hidden meaning.

My read: sanctions aren't a wall. They're a door that swings both ways. Treasury just showed it, in one press release.
Here is what's on the record.
October 8. Treasury announces the next strike of Operation Economic Outcast, its campaign against Iran's oil money.
The headline, Treasury's own words: it "neutralizes" the Iranian regime's "remaining" shadow fleet network.
What it did:
17 ships sanctioned. 17 companies sanctioned.
The ships fly the flags of more than a dozen countries. Panama. Comoros. Cameroon. Vanuatu. Sierra Leone. Gambia. Mongolia. San Marino.
Most are owned on paper by shell companies in the Marshall Islands. Several are owned by companies in China and Hong Kong.
What they carried, per Treasury: Iranian crude, fuel oil, naphtha, gas, methanol, ammonia. One ship alone, more than 3.5 million barrels of crude. Much of it headed to South and East Asia. Some of it straight to China.
Now read the same press release to the end.
Treasury also took 2 ships off the sanctions list.
The reason: they left the shadow fleet and were sold to owners who aren't sanctioned.
That's the whole system in one document.
Keep hauling Iranian oil, and you're cut off from the dollar. Stop, sell the ship, walk away, and you're off the list.
The hammer and the off-ramp. Same page. Same day.
And it isn't a one-off.
Monday, October 5, Treasury took 125 names off its sanctions lists. The stated reason: sanctions "are not intended to be a forever tool."
Thursday, October 8, it adds 17 ships, removes 2, and says exactly why.
The list isn't a prison. It's a price. Change what you do and the price changes.
Now widen the lens.
Some of these ships were owned by companies in China and Hong Kong. Some cargo went straight to China.
The same weeks, Treasury is holding formal AI talks with Beijing.
Sanctions on the water. Handshakes at the table. Both sides of the rope, again.
What this does not show: that Iran's shadow fleet is gone. "Neutralized" and "remaining" are Treasury's words. The same release says ships constantly enter and leave the network, and that Treasury will keep watching. No individuals were named. No dollar figure was given.
Timelines. Patterns.

Think about how backwards this is:
American ranchers raise some of the highest-quality #beef in the world. When foreign buyers are willing to pay a premium for it, that beef gets exported. Roughly 80% of American raised beef is exported. Meanwhile 90%+ of store-bought beef is imported.
The BIG 4 packers (aka MAFIA) are going to source cattle and beef wherever the numbers make the most sense. Their job is to maximize margins and returns — and that can mean importing lower-cost beef while premium American beef heads overseas.
And who gets caught in the middle?
The American rancher and the American consumer.
To me, this is COMPLETELY backwards.
We’re willing to ship premium American-grown #beef halfway around the world while stocking our very own American grocery counters with imported beef produced under standards and practices most consumers know absolutely nothing about.
Where was it raised?
What was it fed?
What production standards were followed?
How many hormones-pesticides-vaccines were used?
How was the animal even treated??????
Most importantly: Does the American consumer even know where their beef actually came from? 🤷
We can do better.
We DESERVE better.
And we should DEMAND better.

Trumps statement today on Hillary, Obama etc, and that HE will not seek to prosecute them is simple optics, and extremely important ones.
If you are freaking out about it, and seeing it as empirical evidence that "trump sold us out or will" please cool the jets, take a deep breath remove the emotion form you reaction and think logically/critically.
This is not rocket science... but I'll help.
Trump just put on the record, in the Oval Office, that people have urged him to go after Clinton, Biden, and Obama, that he believes he could have, and that he told them no because you cannot treat the presidency that way.
That is a contemporaneous public disclaimer. If any later investigation, referral, or charge ever moves forward through the DOJ, a special counsel, Congress, or state authorities, opponents cannot simply claim the sitting president ordered it.
He has already said the opposite on camera.
Actively calling for those arrests, or lobbying for them, would not merely make the process harder. It would actively derail it.
It would hand every court, every oversight hearing, and every media outlet a direct quote that the president demanded prosecutions of his predecessors and a former nominee.
Defense motions, congressional attacks, and news coverage would then center on presidential retribution instead of the underlying evidence, giving judges and the public an easy off-ramp to dismiss or discredit the cases regardless of what the records showed.
There is ZERO upside to connecting himself to the outcome and is in fact a direct risk that the connection itself kills the cases.
None of that required him to pretend the prior conduct was fine.
His first term, the disclosures that followed, the appointments, the declassifications, the public focus on the Russia investigation, the laptop, the border, and the documents cases all put specific actions under sustained scrutiny and created the records, witnesses, and political conditions others can now use.
Investigations into officials such as Comey and Brennan have continued.
The practical path to any accountability for the higher-profile figures runs through channels he does not control and does not need to direct. Publicly demanding the arrests would only supply the pretext to shut those channels down.
If you keeping reacting to what Trump says emotionally and without context of his 'actions', you are going to continue to get distracted by these things, and will not see what is really going on. The old saying actions mean more than words, comes into play here bigly.
