Field Day on the weekend of June 26 and 27! COVID-19 pandemic has forced us once again to be creative with how we operate. We will have individual stations, and pool points for SC4ARC. We beat Half Moon Bay last year, we'll do it again this year!
Per NWS:
We continue to focus on
the atmospheric river event that is forecast for Tu.-Th. If a local official knocked on your door and
told you to evacuate as soon as possible, would you be ready?
LH DOC will be open Tu. afternoon-Th. evening.
New public health Stay at Home Order in S. Mateo Co. COVID-19 is spreading rapidly! Stay home except for essential activity. Wear a mask. Keep your distance.
4/5 As is customary, there will be educational opportunities and demonstrations. We cordially invite you to join us on Zoom at 1400 PDT (2:00 pm), Saturday June 27 for the fun.
3/5 While these individuals rack up points for themselves, their points also go to the radio club. Win, win!
2/5 Instead of a big, communal emergency field communications set-up in one place, individual amateur operators will be transmitting and receiving in their homes.
1/5 The SC4 Amateur Radio Club is participating in ARRL Field Day once again, this year. As you might imagine, there are significant changes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We're setting up at Skyline Ridge Open Space this weekend for annual Field Day! Join us Saturday 11AM to Sunday 11AM as we try to contact as many stations as possible in 24h. All off grid with temporary erected antennas.
Help us rack up the contact count! Try your hand at operating different radios and using voice, digital and Morse code. Pot luck dinner Saturday night at 7PM. No license or experience? No problem! Friendly hams stand ready to help!
