Great to see @trocaire launch a new climate justice campaign with a powerful report: ‘Fuelling Injustice: Ireland’s fossil fuel problem’ exposes how we are enabling climate harm & calls on @MichealMartinTD’s Gov to do its fair share to drive a fast, funded, fossil-fuel phase out.
The new emissions projections from @EPAIreland are alarming and shocking. Ireland is going backwards on climate. What @MichealMartinTD does next is the acid test for his commitment to delivering the Programme for Government and upholding the climate law.

The Climate Action Plan lacks scale & urgency to cut emissions in line with our legally binding pollution limits. Its focus on 2030 is misleading. The first 5-year carbon budget ends in Dec & there’s no sign of corrective actions required to cut pollution fast enough to meet it
On 2030 it gives the impression that incremental progress is getting the job done when EPA says we’re heading towards overshooting the legal limit by almost 50%. Where @DarraghOBrienTD is the ‘decisive action to radically reduce our reliance on fossil fuels’ promised in the PfG?

Trócaire is appalled by the reports & images coming from the attacks on a camp for displaced civilians in Rafah yesterday. They are absolutely reprehensible and horrific.
