Stanton 🐴 Activities

SELECT: Rylan Hansen became the Mustangs’ first girls state champion — but third overall from her family – by outlasting O’Neill’s Grace Drueke 6-5 in a match in which 10 of the points came in the third period. “That was just crazy,” Hansen said. “I knew she was going to be super tough going out. I knew that she’s super aggressive. I know that I kind of struggle on my feet, so it was crazy to beat her.” @SCSActivities norfolkdailynews.com/select/…

SELECT: To begin the night, Stanton’s girls survived a sluggish contest with just enough offense to edge Norfolk Catholic 34-30. In the nightcap, the Knights’ boys mauled the Mustangs 61-16 after exploding to a 34-2 head start. @NorfolkCatholic @SCSActivities norfolkdailynews.com/select/…

SELECT: After having dropped its first four games of the season, the hosts boomed big plays galore in blasting Lutheran High Northeast 70-12. "I see all that hard work paying off in a big way tonight,” Stanton coach David Stoddard said.“ @SCSActivities @LHNEeagles norfolkdailynews.com/select/…

SELECT: Barrett Wilke has reached peaks never before seen by an @SCSActivities athlete. His athletic accomplishments aren't the first thing people say about him. Instead they talk about his work ethic, infectious personality and what he does off the field. norfolkdailynews.com/select/…

SELECT: Barrett Wilke out threw the field by 10-feet-1. His throw of 175-6 was his final one of the day, and his career, capping off his time as a Mustang in the best possible way. @SCSActivities norfolkdailynews.com/select/…
